Here's a slightly higher definition version of the map.

I count 25 different segments of road (e.g. between junctions). I make it on a quick count that Watopia has about 42 and that was only in the mid-30's until they added all those recent shortcuts. London is the next biggest at I think 12.

Hopefully it's as good as it looks! Given the Olympics are rolling around a year later than expected I hope they've used that time well

Amazing! Starting as a 4 was very very hard but we rode as a team really well, with really strong efforts across the board

Great ride by #68. Only 4 riding but we were tight and controlled and consistent. Everyone took their turn but Tim stands out for huge pulls on the front as well as chasing down another team that that had the audacity to overtake us 😁

Well, that was another weird one from Zwift/ I felt so sorry for Lee. He was pushing hard at 3W/Kg and was just left behind by those of us pushing just 1.7W/kg tryin to allow him to catch up. Then he would catch the blob, be OK for 20-30 seconds, then even though his watts didn't decrease, he was suddenly 25m off the back again.

Bizarre

Yeah, I really can't explain what happened with CCC's ride tonight. I know Zwift's drafting physics isn't exactly super-realistic, but once you learn it, it's normally fairly stable and you know where you stand. Not on this ride however - it was almost as though Lee was on a TT bike (he wasn't, we checked numerous times!) and it was also playing up for others, although in a less negative way. For example there was one point where I was second wheel and easing up at about 1.6 w/kg so that those who'd dropped back to help Lee could catch us, yet somehow I was pulling away from them rapidly despite them doing 2.8 and being a group of four versus us two!

When we reached the desert, Lee gave us the shout to leave him behind - we'd hoped that he'd be able to at least hang on to the back on the flat and sit in our draft, but it seemed that the algorithm had other ideas. Of course, because the first half of the ride had been constant surging followed by soft pedalling, it meant that the remaining riders still had quite a bit left in the tank, so we could put the hammer down and probably did a decent negative split!

I've been reflecting on how we were really well-drilled last night. With two extra bods to up the draft in the blob, even if they hadn't contributed much to the pacemaking, I'm sure we'd have been clocking a mid 42. Supreme efforts all round, though - some excellent suffering noises coming from @straas and @bobinski ! :okay:

Looking at my Strava data, I averaged 220W for 2minutes when Pro Vision came past as I got caught up in their draft because they suddenly slowed down... Don't really know what happened there...

It was strangely enjoyable - on previous TTTs there's been a bit of hesitancy on the front over who's taking over which can slow things down temporarily.

Felt like last night was full gas and do what you can on the front

Psychologically was helpful to see the gap between us and cryogen climb from 5 seconds with 10k to go, up to 22 seconds by the finish. :becool:
