You're going to to love this one as an addition to the excuse Bible @TurboTommy . ..... https://zwiftinsider.com/how-height-affects-speed-in-zwift/

I knew there was an algorithm in Zwift to allow drag vs height but I’ve never seen it put to the test before. It kind of sucks to be honest, but there’s no way they can adjust for actual position on the bike unless they created some type of camera system. So it is what it is I guess... From my perspective I’m sure I get into a better tuck than some people who are smaller than me. And it has made me consider adjusting my height on Zwift. But in reality I conclude that the real world is the truth, and turbos are humans best attempts to re create that. And there’ll always be a gap between the two.

It's a bit late for me so I did it today.
Wouldn't the Zwift insider's link to the forward Strava segment be the segment to use:

Btw, seems like you don't get any power up's on the TT bike, so we don't have to worry about that.

I think this type of ride should only be on a monthly bases, as this is about staying within your bounds for the given period, not exceeding them.
Don't you think being forced to exceed your bounds is the way to fitness gains ?
Happy for it to be a monthly thing yeah - I just think it's good to mix it up. As for staying within your limits I see what you mean but a TT like this is just a different type of challenge to the normal races - I don't think necessarily less likely to help with fitness gains. For example, in the Hare & Hounds races I am sometimes well within my comfort zone drafting with the B group for most of the race only getting really stretched at the end - I'm not convinced they're necessarily any better for fitness gains?

Agreed, I would never normally pick a TT race so happy to give it a try. Be an interesting dynamic, particularly as there are a few people with very similar power outputs spread about (although I may be exposed as a lazy wheelsucker )

I have read and reread bobs bumper book , especially the volume concerning feet and footwear
I’ve read about loose cleats , worn cleats , stuck cleats , torn shoes, small shoes, large shoes , stones in shoes , lost shoes , bunions , verruccas , corns , cuts and callouses but I think he has failed to mention my ailment
In the style of the albino monk in the d’vinci code I have self mutilated my toe nails - 2 I have cut so low bloods oozing through my sock
But you won’t hear me moan - I am too faint from lack of blood

Errr...no! Just NO! :stop:

The fact you admit to having a copy of the book is bad enough.

Self inflicted injuries aren’t much better than made up injuries. And only fair slightly worse than non self inflicted injuries.

It’s bad enough listening to the winges of the pamapered office dwellers. I though I could hold you to a higher standard!

I’m obviously going to have to bring back my sliding scale of acceptable excuses.

Cut your toe while giving yourself a pedicure peach blossom?

Thanks. As someone of normal stature I was going to say something about TT complaining about being tall. What’s next? Bill Gates complaining about being too rich? CRXandy complaining about having too many buildings?

^_^

You know it’s not in my nature to complain Randy . Just stating the fact that small people have an unfair advantage on Zwift.

Now let’s not talk about this anymore :reading:
