You're right about not racing on the TONY.....I've been bumped up to a Cat A on the back of it!:ohmy:

Looks like you are the fella to keep Lee chasing someone :okay: Just when he had edged past bridgy too...

Congrats on the Cat A

Only a minute  that’s quite a long way when your a the back of that minute.
It does spur you on a bit when you see someone from CC up ahead. Considering no one was racing on this TONY It was quite intense :becool:
My problem is, when I see a fellow CCer I try to ride at their pace rather than my own pace then end up going too far in the red and blowing up :banghead:When I saw yo and Rob on the 1st KoM last night I started to push more watts than I really needed too .... nearly paid for that, but thankfully the descent let me rest.

Thankfully I didn't see you behind me so I didn't react to you chasing me. If I was in your shoes, and saw you ahead I'd have probably blown up trying to get on your wheel :B)

I think flat fast courses will see us all grouped together as you can latch on to the group and get some free drafting. On the watopia flat courses I often end up in the same group as @Norry1 and can ride with him until the final sprint, even though he is much stronger than me, as I can sandbag in the group. On the hillier courses though he leaves me for dead as I can't get the drafting advantage going up the hills and his extra power allows him to pull away.

But this is exactly what you need to become faster/fitter it's the only way some times to push your self hard.

I've done the one 'race', which was ToNY stage 4 last night and i've gone straight into B.

Kip, you are definitely Cat B. Also, your snap may be under reporting Watts’s. Over on FB a snap user was frustrated at his snap reading low and did a factory reset calibration and gained 30w bringing him Closer to PM on his other bike. May be worth a try.

Well, I'm likely off the trainer for a while... I've likely got kidney cancer (stage1 T1N0M0). I've known about the mass on my kidney for a few years, but it's doubled in size over the last few years and more detailed imaging taken earlier this week makes it look more and more like cancer. The ER docs insisted on setting up the consult with the oncologist before discharge when I had the most recent PE. I didn't expect it to result in anything... But, well, that's not the case.

So I'm likely heading in for surgery soon. The good news is the docs don't see any evidence it's spread, it's still reasonably small and it's in a reasonably good location. So they can go in and just remove the tumor leaving everything else alone. Figure a few weeks of recovery post-surgery before I can ride at all.
I wish you speedy recovery.

Chris (@T.M.H.N.E.T ) is Cat D, but to be fair C and D riders usually start together anyway in the same pen so you'll always have us in the same race. Some organisers have A&B start in a different pen, sometimes though it's a mass start. Quite a few CCers ride at C level so always a good scrap, especially in the shorter flat races where we can work together.
Do you have set days that you all race like we did with Bkool or is it random?

We are trying to be a little more organised with Tuesday evenings currently being scheduled. Someone will suggest a particular race(lots to choose from) which most can make it. At the moment a lot are doing ToNY events so these have taken precedence. Race are usually 15-23 miles and can be flat or hilly. Race starts can be furious if you want to hang with the leaders-whatever category you're in. Thursdays have been used. Join Cyclechat team on Zwiftpower.com. This collects all the riders data and give you a ranking as well.
