Looking to do the 3 Sisters Tour of Oz at 4 if anyone fancies suffering with me. It's open cat (E) so everyone starts together. This is going to be nasty so it's gonna hurt!! Took me 1hr 45 mins last time, so expecting at least the same this time.
Knocked a minute and a half off my previous time. Well chuffed given a lot less riders and not much drafting going on.

I had a go at stage 7 just now. Litany of excuses for bailing. Tight calf’s from yesterday I just couldn’t spin loose before hand, very late night with friends leaving me a little fragile this morning . Started ok, up the first KOM and only 4 s slower than best time , bridged to next group so now 7th out of 90ish and then boom- body and head said no:laugh:
I can’t get out on the bike today so i May have another go later if anyone wants to join or mock me^_^

Berty, Tommy, here I am trying to make one bike do it all and you lot buying a different bike depending on what colour outfit you're using today

I became aware during a conversation with the missus yesterday, that she thinks I own one more bike than I actually do. I could of corrected her of course. But I felt like that would be wasting valuable time that could be spent planning for a new bike

Just signed up to stage 7 (3 sisters) again for the 4 o'clock race. 70/30 sure of doing this ride. Legs will be tired due to doing it yesterday so may just do a pootle and see if I can get together with a few slower riders. More important for me to finish than get a good (for me) time.

Well I've just bought a new bike .

No it's not what you think. My youngest brother has decided he needs to lose some weight and get a bit (read a lot, his words) fitter. Thats a bike to each of my 3 brothers now. Only 2 of them will probably use it as intended. But hey I've tried.

ToC here we come

2 mins down on yesterday's 3 sisters race so considering legs were a little tired, not too bad. 3-4 watts lower over the 1hr 45 mins (ave 201 watts) so got to be pleased with that. Shame you couldn't finish @bobinski - I was way down on your time so couldn't get to you, sorry!

Edit : on the road I came in 21st i think out of 72 riders, yet on Zwiftpower I'm 10th out of 14. So many riders just haven't connected with ZP which is a shame. I can see a time when you will have to be connected to ZP in order to join a race (I think at least one organiser is already contemplating this)

Well done for finishing especially after doing it yesterday
I tried to work with a group of 3-4 to catch the 8 in front but kept pulling away and they wouldn’t stay with me and slowed to 2.5w I tried to bridge the minute or so on my own and blew up:laugh: which is when I messaged you to say I would wait. But once that 3-4 caught up I rolled with them before leaving them near the top of the KOM. Trundled up the tower losing interest in continuing and then had a rare blue tooth disconnect which sealed it for me. I am being a bit lazy at the moment to be honest but would rather be out than on turbo but family life getting in the way.

Yes it is just a matter of time.
In due course, new category boundaries will likely come into play based on a slightly elevated ftp (4.2 w/kg; 3.4 w/kg; 2.7 w/kg) BUT 'Skills' points will also trigger a Cat upgrade. KISS races will no doubt lead the way but I'd expect most race organisers to follow their lead.

Interesting. Why the increased ftp boundaries? I'm in favour, it will incentivise me to improve mine a bit.

Not really sure to be honest. Best guess would be that Cat A is too wide from bottom to top but just speculating.

You guys got your head round the 'Skills' section? An awesome addition in my opinion.

Some other cool features you may notice; race report in your profile and live tab now displays real time data from all the (opted-in) racers.

Late report on my final day....

Pootle to Bourg D'Oisans turned into a Team Time Trial along the new cycle path from Allemond

Parked bikes up and wandered around watching the preamble to the Stage Start.

The signing on took ages - really sad (and annoying) to hear the boos for the Sky boys. There were a couple of Welsh flags and a load of people cheering as well.

Then we wandered towards the edge of town to see them ride out

Finished off with a great ride out of Bourg up a balcony road and up to Col Du Solude where you can look across (and down) at Alpe D'Huez from the other side of the valley. It includes a couple of miles of track )off road) but well worth it for the stunning views.

Not a good one if you suffer from vertigo

Then a 13 hour drive home on Saturday. Awesome week

Look like you had a superb time and have lots of great memories. Very jealous especially at length of time you got to stay there.
