@ColinJ, are you still in stalker mode? ;) Might be a good idea to spectate one of the TdZ events to see how a ride with 1000 people looks like.
I have been watching quite a few Zwift (&TPV) video snippets on YouTube but haven't really watched much directly via Zwift. I haven't cleared my 'pain corner' yet and once I got the TV working I just put it to one side, so it isn't yet set up for extended viewing like watching a full race. The easiest thing would be to watch a race replay on YouTube on my main TV. I'll have a look back through this thread a pick some to watch.

I do need to get everything ready so that when my trainer finally turns up I will be able to use it almost immediately.

I had been planning to use an old mat under the trainer but I spotted some cheap yoga mats in Aldi today. I reckon one of those would do nicely for a year or two - the material that they are made of doesn't look particularly hard-wearing so it won't last for decades but with the trainer feet supported by tennis balls and the front wheel on a large steerer plate, wear on the mat should be reduced. The mats are supposed to be wipe-clean. A good size to put a trainer on - ~1.5 m x 0.6 m, and for only £5.49! They had them in various colours but I opted for black.

I had a quick go at getting PiP working on the old TV today but found the PiP menu option greyed out. My first thought was that that model of TV must have been one that didn't support PiP but further investigation shows that the set disables/enables the option depending on what the TV is displaying. I'll give it another go later.

Yeah, that was a nice route; badge in the bag. Was supposed to be a cooldown but couldn't help myself from sprinting up the escalator

First one went alright too, ended up in the top 30 - a lot of people raced it; after 20k the front group still had ~100 riders. Couldn't quite keep the front group up the longer bump. Good workout in the end.

Stage 5 FRR done ,I'm improving 5th of 29 today ,really suffered in this one ,4 sprint segments to be contested just to stay with the front group before an uphill finish . Sprint and recover is a weakness of mine so basically I lead the bunch in to the sprint to give myself slip room so I didn't have to go full gas . Then in a rare act of Mercy by FRR control we didn't climb Itza Kom but finished as we crested Mayan Mountain which my legs were thankful for , Rest day tomorrow 😀
Missed my Pr by 2 secs on the climb which with all the sprints in the legs I'm well happy with 😁

Morning all.

Please excuse a recruiting post, but here goes anyway!

Level Racing are looking for one or 2 B cat riders - or strong C cat - to join our Atlantic South squad who race in the Zwift Racing League at 10.30UTC on Tuesday mornings. I'm Team Manager for the squad.

This will be for 6 weeks between January 14 and February 18 - there's no commitment to Level required beyond that. I'm looking for a couple of riders for ZRL Round 3 as it just makes the numbers a little more manageable. I've advertised this elsewhere, but thought I'd ask here in case this works for anybody?

We have 3 teams, with a mix of riders from the US, Europe, South Africa and Australia

You'll be made welcome and your Zwift avatar gets to wear our fab green, black and white kit!

If you're interested you can reply here, send me a Direct message or leave a message on our Facebook page at LEVEL Esports.

Or I guess you can also tell me to p**s off!

Or you can dive straight in and announce yourself on our Discord server

Really strange start in my FRR race today ,start was a bit subdued due to the fatigue in everyone's legs . One rider just rode off the front of the group no attack just doing a bit more w/kg than the group ,gap slowly expanded to 30 secs before the group closed it to 6 secs because of the first sprint ,but he kept riding as the group eased to recover and the gap slowly expanded again out to 20 secs .This was all wiped out by the 2nd sprint by then he'd spent 16km solo off the front eventually he finished 3 mins down ,strange tactics but he did have me worried that we wouldn't catch him as the group really didn't work cohesively just letting 1 rider set the pace ,I had learnt from yesterday and did very little 😁

Question looking to stage 8 of FRR which is the 4 horseman route in zwift plus 4km more which probably adds the zwift Kom and finished up the volcano for a 2nd time 😮. Has anyone done the route and how long will it take ,zwift has 3hrs for 3w/kg and 4hrs for 2w/kg So I guess I'm going to be in the middle hopefully at 2.5w/kg realistic? ,remember this is coming after 7 stages of hard racing in 8 days
Edit just checked the distances it won't climb the volcano again so finish up the zwift kom

Mad  I haven't done the 4 horsemen. You should be glad that Ventoux isn't in Watopia or they'd add that too
