My Samsung S21 and S9 tablet have Ant+ as have all my previous Samsungs, also check out the QZ app.

What does the QZ App do?

It allows non compatible equipment to connect with Zwift, use it with caution, I used it to connect my treadmill, at one point it adjusted my treadmill speed, my legs resembled road runner cartoon legs trying to keep up, I hit the stop button in a panic, people use it to connect Peloton bikes etc.

You know what people are like on Zwift.
If they're going to cheat with coffee breaks
I don't usually use the coffee break, but this morning I forgot to put the fan in position, I was grateful when 30 min elapsed so I could get it positioned, interesting looking at my power and HR data post ride, Rapha ride with Maria.

As long as I breathe, I attack.
There's been new releases of Zwift every week or two though, so who even knows if the software has gradually become more demanding on the system?

i have recommended spec its an issue with zwift and amd chipsets

More crowding also means more CPU demands.
Zwift did say this (linked below) about crashes on Nvidia systems recently but I’m kind of doubtful it’s what you are dealing with. On an Nvidia system you should be safe with the driver provided by Microsoft, no need to update it with anything newer from Nvidia. You should also make sure you’re not burdening the CPU with anything other than Zwift, like Sauce or OBS, while you are troubleshooting this. You could upload logs to zwiftalizer.com and post results here or on the ZPCMR Facebook group.

Hi everyone! This is Alejandro from Zwift. Regarding this situation with the NVIDIA GPU processor and Zwift, we have identified an issue causing these crashes, and we are currently working on a solution for a future update. If there is anything else we can help you with, please do not hesitate to w…

Puzzle game procrastinator!
I collected the tennis balls from my local Amazon locker.

I hadn't realised that quality tennis balls are pressurised. I don't intend replacing them frequently, so I hope that they don't lose too much pressure too quickly! I think that consistent performance of tennis balls on a court would be much more demanding than stopping the weight of me and a turbo trainer flattening them!

I will keep the balls in their sealed pressurised containers until I actually need to use them though.

@Venod - Will that QZ app read an Ant+ power meter and retransmit the reading over Bluetooth? I wouldn't mind paying £5-6 for it if it will do that job, but I am too mean to pay the money to find out!

I made a bit of an effort on today's little road ride to see what kind of power numbers I could come up with. I didn't absolutely bust a gut because I had traffic to contend with. On the turbo I could probably go higher, despite my current level of (un)fitness.

I imagine that these numbers would put me in the bottom group of Zwift/TPV racers?
  • Max: 581 W (7.35 W/kg)
  • 3 sec power: 576 W (7.29 W/kg)
  • 5 sec power: 566 W (7.16 W/kg)
  • 20 sec power: 493 W (6.24 W/kg)
  • 30 sec power: 481 W (6.09 W/kg)
  • 60 sec power: 367 W (4.65 W/kg)
