I saw that being promoted on Zwift Insider, they should have made it a banded ride. Full PRL is the worst badge in my opinion, but having 600 of you all together would have made it a lot easier for the weaker riders.
That was brought up in the ride chat, especially as the last one of these Eric M did (Uber Pretzel?) WAS a banded ride. But apparently he said it was too big to be banded - anything over about 100 riders and the banding breaks completely or something. There were well over 1000 signed up when I joined but only 600 in the pen, plus about another 50 on late join in the end.

He did then hint that on his (personal) wish list was the ability to have multiple bands on a single ride. I noted that there were a number of other Zwift staff on the ride and none of them said anything at that point - probably cursing the boss giving them extra work!

As long as I breathe, I attack.
tried a full reinstall and only used the speed sensor and minimum settings on a solo ride rather than a pacer group to reduce gfx load.
Managed half and hour on the volcano circuit then did another 12 mins after restarting .
Not a great situation but at least i got a workout in without crashing , from what i can gather the memory load on the amd chipsets has a fault where the used memory isn't cleared properly so eventually you run out of useable memory and your machine crashes .On the zwift forums numerous people are having the same issue and seems those with more ram are lasting longer.

Making it a banded ride would make it utterly pointless, wouldn’t it? It’s not supposed to be easy, FFS!

That was my reaction too. But then I get pissed off when I see people on pace partner rides hit the coffee break on short slopes.
What IS the point? 🤦‍♂️

I simply don't ever expect or intend to get all the badges. It was fun when I needed XP to get the best in-game equipment, but once that game was over I stopped caring.

Unfortunately, you will have to wait until the second half of February for my review!
I will tell you about the tennis balls after I collect them tomorrow!

Not being a tennis player, I hadn't thought much about tennis balls until now, but I bought a bag of cheap ones for my sister's dog earlier this year and it was obvious that they would be pretty useless for tennis, and completely unsuitable for use in rocker feet - they were floppy and undersized!

I bought mid-price Dunlop balls for the rocker feet.

My cheap solution for my Stages SB20 the DIY air wedges make it very adjustable for rocking feel I have the same arrangement under the rear, the bags are very robust I had them on a half rocker plate for my Tacx Neo, the bearings and shaft were also from the Neo plate, I just cut the shft down to two pieces to suit the Stages.
You could design the plastic to suit the dimensions of these wedges, a much more user friendly solution than tennis balls IMO. I tried balls under the plate when I had the Neo, I didn't like the bouncy feeling they gave.

I've got used to "no rock" and now I don't like it when the "locknut" on one of the adjustable feet comes loose occasionally and gives a slight wobble. (although it's the sound that's irritating when that happens).

My trainer is on a double layer of mats which gives a firm but supple base. There is no doubt that the action is slightly different when sprinting, but you get used to it. I love making things but a rocker plate is something I don't feel would "do it" for me.

I use the same pillow bearings and bright steel shaft of my full rocker board. I use 3 tennis balls per side under slight compression.

I do like the shear 50kg sturdiness of the neobike when sprinting, although rockerplates, maybe id miss it if I tried it but happy enough. I turn off road feel anyway

After a few days off, jumped on Fresh Outta stage 5 or is it 4.

Being a tad hilly I was hoping for top third as a good result.

I held on quite well despite being dropped up the Mayan and It's climb. Punched hard down the grade, flew by another rider 6 secs in front and caught up another rider 17 secs in front. I was initially content to sit on his wheel, then decided to share the work to extend our lead over the chasers. We stretched it to 40 secs. Second and final ascent. I was expecting my opponent to blast away being a little lighter than me, however he couldn't get away and I was spurred on seeing other within reach 15 secs in front. I managed to get 50 metres on him whilst catching others. I caught another just as we got to the flat top, I was gassed so rolled in behind. 13th/58 Zwift and 4th 9th on ZP(ZP slow to fill in finished riders!)

Well done. Did that one earlier in the week. Quite climby isn't it?
