The problem sometimes with threads like that is, once a couple of people get away with abuse, others feel it's OK to abuse too. Some of those comments are vile and no way would any of them say the same to the guy face to face, but they feel it's OK when behind a keyboard. Some of the comments were absolutely priceless.
Moments like this I like to refer to this quote...
‘There are two things I am aware of which are infinite, the universe and the capacity for human stupidity. And I am not entirely convinced about the universe.'
Albert Einstein.

For me though, whilst Cameron Childs almost certainly can't do those speeds and powers and his set up may not be 'professional' he's just using the tools he has to do an exercise session on Zwift. And his Zwift account is linked to Strava so he can compare his own efforts with himself. Should he take himself out of the KOM? Maybe. But the posters should be complaining to someone/thing it is with Strava (or Zwift or Bkool for that matter) for allowing these rides to stand. These companies don't really care though how the times are made, so I don't really see how anyone else can take them too seriously either. The only set up that takes the races/times/powers seriously is Zwiftpower - every other ride/time/power needs to be taken with a pinch of salt until we all have exactly the same setup.
Life really is too short, but I do feel sorry for the abuse this guy has taken.

He could, and he probably should, but he is equally within his rights to keep them open - there are no rules in Strava to say he has to, he hasn't signed a contract or is obliged to do this, so ultimately the problem is the 'system' and not this rider. I think the anger is aimed at the wrong person, and whatever this guy should or shouldn't do morally, I don't think he deserves some of the vile comments he's received.he could make his rides private so he keeps all his stats and saves all the aggro he is having
Is that an alloy frame Tommy? I like the colour and detail of joints.
What groupset/wheels are you putting on?
I realized with a long delay that i fall in English trap. In that moment i was thinking "oh my god what i have done"I knew that. But it gave me a chance to do what we call in English; ‘showing off’ .
But if you ever do come to the real London, bring a bike. It’s a great way to see the city. So long as you do it at 6am!
