Let's hope so, I use that to get the results and update the thread. Not easy to work out times otherwiseOdd that the events have disappeared from ZP. It will come back
I had a 'rest' day today, so climbed Alpe du zwift knocked 7 minutes off my previous time HR was under control and I felt OK. Did it in just under 75 minutes. Chose the Fire to Ice course, which is the next ToW stage. Overall I took about 1 hour 46 mins. I can see quite a few people bailing on that course - will sort out people. Stage 4 and 5 come close on the tail so a tough 6 days!
What are your names on Zwift?
Most of have joined Zwift power club using cyclechat. Easier to spot results and if you add cyclechat to your Zwift user name we can see you easily whilst racing. Bob being the exception, hes different easily spot name BOBBY-BABooska
Yep, I had already added Cyclechat to my name. Rob Taylor was fairly easy to find - but Kipster didn't appear on the list. Mr Kipster??
I had a go last night as a rece. It's 25km in total, so with a main Alpe climb of 12.5 km there is a lot of riding before you get to the base of the mountain (including the climb up to the start of the jungle entrance). 1st part from the volcano is mostly flat or down, so I think i'll go out the blocks quite hard to get into a fastish group then sandbag to the first climb. Take my time up there then jump on another group through the jungle and sit on that at about 180 watts. Alpe itself I'll aim like last night to hold about 2.2-2.5 watts (so about 200 ish watts). In total, a course time around 1hr 40 i should think.Well done. Great improvement.
I am looking forward to that stage. Not one to rush off on , at least for me, but one where hopefully get to pick people off as the road goes up.
I just guess @bobinski 's time if I can't find it .... usually a few minutes slower than youMost of have joined Zwift power club using cyclechat. There's a Strava segment already called "Tour of Fire & Ice (Zwift insider verified)" - https://www.strava.com/activities/1480172239/segments/36888524902 - which is pretty much the same distance etc. as stage 3, so may - hopefully - be completely included within stage 3 and we could use this? Maybe wait and see when someone's done the actual stage? As I rode 'Fire and Ice' last night so will have the whole ToW3 in Strava I'll create a segment that is mostly the course for the ToW3, then if you want we can use this for the times of that stage .... may not be 100% accurate distance as I might need to start a little later in the course and ending may not be on the KoM finish line so keep going when you get to the top for a few hundred metres to be sure. might work?
I must add cyclechat to by zwift name....Yep, I had already added Cyclechat to my name. Rob Taylor was fairly easy to find - but Kipster didn't appear on the list. Mr Kipster??
