Look at that road surface! What speed are you hitting there, I'm seeing 70kph at least

The fastest I've recorded on sections is 53mph 84kph. Its not super steep, so a fair amount of pedalling is required to get above 50mph. I think I hit 140rpm

Yes the roads are fantastic. Over the years I used to go regularly , more and more of the mountain roads were resurfaced. Its like a race track. If you get a chance to ride across the Caldera to the other side its is something to behold.

The roads, the views the atmosphere -lack of it are amazing

I would without hesitation recommend a week doing a tour of Tenerife in early Feb/March or September/October/November. Summer does get hotter. But the months I list, it's mid 20s and almost guaranteed no rain

Oh brilliant thanks a million!

I cycled with the same guys @CXRAndy did a couple of years ago and highly recommend the climb to Vilaflor from Los Christianos, and if time allows then up to El Teide (I needed 7 hours to go up and down! I found the climbs ok as rarely above 8%, usually between 6 and 8 as Andy says, with the odd short kicker. Definitely a head down and keep the legs turning kind of climb - lots of painful fun.

Feb should be a good time to ride as not too cold or warm.

Edit - probably should say, El Teide is 40km of climbing haha

I loved watching the heart rate go up in the turns at those crazy speeds. Mine went up just watching it.

My hands and wrists muscles were so sore after an hour long descent and grabbing on to the breaks. I'm a wuss when it comes to descending.

Same. I've hit 70kph once going down a very quiet, straight road (in much worse nick than those roads to be fair) but wouldn't fancy doing it near cars

Few days ago I did adjustment about my riding position, I raise the saddle little bit more. I was looking for position where my toes points more downward. Before that my heels drop too much and I think that cause loss of power. Today I ride Serpentine 8 about on 1hr and it felt pretty good, despite that I just finish my nightshifts.

I think my max is 51 down Edge Hill. But you get to that left hand bend and it's laundry time

Yep Edge Hill is a good 50mph hill - but as you say that left hander is a squeaky bum time especially when roads are damp. I also dislike the turning on the left just after the bend - I always anticipate someone turning into it or coming out of it - which have both happened to me.
