This mornings event Hare n Hounds

Was feeling ok on the start line, but after 5 mins into the race began coughing up gunk. I was thinking this is going to be tough, it was. I was holding on to the front pack which was dwindling down from 29 or so riders.

Pace upped towards the Viaduct ramp which put me into gasping red zone, where I lost the leaders, this is where thoughts of easing off and waiting for the next group. Thankfully I put in a dig to catch back on.

Serpentine ramp again saw me struggling to hold the leaders, I was satisfied just to muster an average sprint to roll in top 10.

I came 8th in Zwift results, was promoted to 3rd in ZP

Bloody out of category riders, most B and one A . Make no wonder it was hard. I had several new PBs one up the Viaduct

Hey Alex, just seen your video re Kickr

You might want to read through this thread first

THanks. I spent last evening looking at Youtube videos and I'm not nearly as upset as I was yesterday. It looks like it is very likely to be either something "rubbing" in the flywheel housing or just bearing replacement needed.

Bearings are arriving tomorrow. It's not too terrible as I just won an indieVelo race on it
But the noise is unpleasant and needs dealing with.

Listening to your first video in that thread it's EXACTLY the same noise, so must be the bearings.

A little disappointed but I was down on time on my PR from the outset, so I knew today wasn't the day. Funnily enough that PR was set exactly one year ago to today. I also managed 1 watt higher average and kept a reasonable constant wattage for the whole ride (hardly any drop off at all) so all I can assume is that I did my best time at a much lower weight.
