How'd the TTT go everyone?

Not bad. We came 7th (of 14). Most Teams had 6 riders. We all gave what we had and our paceline discipline was reasonably good. I think we all kind of enjoyed it

We came 4th out of 10. I think we started a bit hot - we were fastest at the S1 checkpoint, and pulled out a 14s lead on the Norwegian Bike and Beer team, who eventually came back at us to nearly catch us for a minute. My Belgian teammates were awesome - we lost Sander on the Aqueduc KOM but I think we rode pretty well together. I'm still a bit puzzled how we didn't put in a better time, though - three of us averaged more than 300W and our W/kg was by far the highest of all the teams.

There was a notable ride from one of the French Hexagone riders, who was on the front for virtually the entire second half of the race, and they clawed back a third of the advantage we'd opened up by halfway...

We're still top of the league thanks to the ass-kicking we doled out last week.

7th as @Norry1 said, but we should have come 6th really - the team that finished 5 seconds ahead of us got their points halved for a Code 8 on one of their riders who smashed out 4.4w/kg for 20 minutes (still a Cat B rider of course because no one seems to get upgraded to Cat A these days!). Agree with Martin it was a good result for us with 5 riders and I'm not sure we could have gone any faster really

Our league looks to be a bit harder than yours (and it does feel hard to be honest!).

Looking at our results our time would have got us 2nd place (by 2 seconds) in your league, and your time would have been 14th best in ours. Is yours a Div 3 B Team (ours is Div 2)?

Yeah, I'd noticed that. Yep, we're Div 3. Wondering if we had a headwind(!), because we put out some decent power (Nicol 3.8Wk/g, 323W NP; Dylan 3.9W/kg, 309W NP; me 4.1W/kg, 305W NP, Bert 3.8W/kg, 257W) - on paper, those look like we should have been competitive. We didn't have comms by Discord, but our formation was mostly pretty good. I was on the Cadex with the DT disc, which is the fastest TT setup - some of my teammates weren't - but that would make a handful of seconds difference, at most.

Yeah that's odd isn't it - would be interesting to know where/how you lost your time. I can only think it's something to do with technique and maybe wasting watts when in the draft? If you look at our results there are 3 teams behind us who have higher ave watts and w/kg than us, and a team 2 places above us with lower ave watts and w/kg than us

Do you guys manage to ride all line-astern and drop back after your turns? Or are you a little blob with one guy up front?

Impressive draft savings when you’re second in line. I think I spent quite a lot of time in that position, putting out 300+ watts but not coming round the leader, kind of like a sticky draft effect. With the latest pack dynamics, I think it’s a toss-up between easing off the power (because you can hold position for lower power), and putting down a little more power to close the gaps right up and make everything tight.

Wahoo have released the Kickr Core with virtual shifting like the Zwift turbo. Looks like mechanical gears will be a thing of the past. Will Garmin/Tacx release a version for the Neo turbo, their complete bike is virtual shifting. My Stages bike is the same.

And Zwift have quietly pulled their Hub One after just 4 months.
(I'm assuming this is part of their new strategy and partnership with Wahoo.)
