True, but I think there’s a 20-minute element to it. @Peter Salt ’s numbers are PDG at 15s, 1min and 5min, and I’m pretty sure he could knock out an awesome 20-minute effort in a Tempus Fugit race.

I think it starts Jan 2nd . I will be doing some of the stages not fully committed yet but you never know , On the team front I think your top 8 riders count so as a smaller team we will to make an Impact as I don't think we will get near 8 riders

I am going to race the next FRR series. Is anyone else interested? Happy to join a CC team but if not will race with Zsunr.
When is it Bob, post new year?

Yup, I'll be doing it.

We may get a few willing. People should be well-motivated early in the New Year. And it doesn't clash with ZRL.

Anyone familiar with zwifterbikes.web.app site ?. That website gives a suggestion what is fastest bike and wheels you should use after you have select map and route. First you need to tell which level you are and drops as well. Two days ago I did a test, I select The Big Ring route to take a look what standard bike combination is zwifterbikes suggestion, it was Specialized Venge S-Works with DT Swiss ARC 1100 Dicut Disc wheels. My selection was Venge S-Works with ZIPP 454 wheels, that's what I normally use. I set my weight and avg power and Zwifterbikes calculate that my time with DTSwiss wheels suppose to be 1hr44min, so I take a challenge and start my testride to see what is my time with ZIPP 454 wheels which suppose to be slower, my time was 1hr35min, 9min faster. I did my ride with offline so there wasn't any extra help. Don't know what data zwifterbikes info are based but times are not realistic, bike and wheel recommendation could be right.

Zwifterbikes uses the Zwift Insider raw data to make an estimate, but you have to understand that it calculates based on average climb and flat and doesn't really take race conditions into account.

It's better than nothing, but it's really only a rough indication.

For example, in the recent DRS series we had a Team Timed Race which was on part of Serpentine 8.
Zwifterbikes told everyone to use MTB. But I think it was using out of date Crr information as the Crr for dirt had recently changed.
I did some 'bot testing on the exact route for my weight and power and it showed that gravel bikes were 7s faster for that route
(under no draft conditions, that is).

So my team used gravel bikes. I don't think it made a big difference, but we won it on the sprint.

I can understand that but it surprised me that difference was 9-minutes despite of estimation data which seems to be very rough. Maybe I will do same test ride with recommended standard bike to see what kind of results that gives, little bit like a love for sport.

That's exactly my point. It is very rough. If you want accurate data you have to either ride it at controlled power using a workout or use a 'bot to maintain perfectly controlled power. Anything else is a guess. Maybe a moderately well educated one and maybe just complete crap

You do a fair bit of research for Dirt racing, bots, test rides. :okay:

Not complaining, I got a much better result on Bologna with using TT bike :hello:

There's still so many ways to screw up a race on the day, that I want to have everything I can do to get it right sewn up in advance.
But it's a big part of the fun for me. Others might not enjoy it.

Bologna was a best guess though as, being an event-only route I couldn't do any testing.
