Unfortunately every Tuesday I have to go Latin Ballroom dancing with the missus and a load of pensioners. If I don't the missus will be most unhappy with me.

So just me riding for the honor of the team tonight then??

Again 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭

Actually just checked and it's me and John C defending our honor

Well that's was a bit frantic , standing in for the B team tonight, Had got 18.15 start time in my head just getting ready for a warm up at 17.45 when the companion says race starts in 15mins , Jumps on turns on Zwift ,update required argh 😫 seems to take ages to load straight into the pen 5 mins to go so no warm up which is what I'm blaming the result on 😂 ,85th of 87th but I finished unlike the 2 others

We wouldn't have scored any points without you so the shift is very much appreciated 👍
Nowhere to hide on that course

Strong effort there Paul, big power 💪

Thanks Andy! Not quite big enough power though - specifically at 24:30 into the race when I started going backwards - I could only hold 500+ watts for so long up that climb! I think if I could have held that power for just another 20 seconds or so I could have stayed with the front but I didn't quite have it

3 segments all Koms (boo).

Peter you have a good shot at hanging onto the small child's wheel. Paul likewise although worth considering whether to go all out for any segments at expense of finish points? Gravel on castle kom? I'm kind of wondering if I should go all out on the first Kom and destroy myself or whether to just accept I'll not be getting any points there and try and finish strong

If you do, it's probably worth loitering at the back of the pack as you start the climb, and drafting your way up through the field. I'm aware, though, that the slingshot effect is not as strong with the new pack dynamics...

Always a tiny bit suspicious when there's no Strava account linked and no IRL profile picture...

He does look pretty small, but he doesn't really look as if he's putting in a huge amount of effort (from what we can see of his body). Maybe he's on Carl's Wattbike? ;) Or maybe he's just a really strong A rider who's miscategorised by the Zwift system because he's little?

Oops meant to put this in the chat, now everyone will know our tactics (ride uphill fast) 😂
