Viking Challenge today

Conditions tougher with recent rains, making what was already awkward riding in the first half of the event. I was solo-ing as last years riders melted away for some reasons

I prepared thoroughly, taking last year's bike from shed, brushing off the dried mud , pumping tyres, o

il chain. My tyres were inadequate for such slippery muddy conditions. Not enough tread to bite into what soil that wasn't milk chocolate looking. As a consequence, I came off on a decent, unable to scrub speed before the lake in the dip. Fell quite hard and my left hand, fortunately I was heading for the hedges, so though I hit the deck hard, My impact was lessoned. Sore wrist, which has movement. May visit hospital tomorrow if it's not eased in discomfort.

Conditions beat me up, spat me out today. Onto next year -may be

My body battery is now 24. I go to work soon so I believe before the midnight is close to 0 as well.

That looks bonkers Andy. Hope the mud softened your fall and that no lasting damage.

I don't really do mud, which is why I haven't gone all-in on Cx.

Body battery is a bit low but RHR and HRV look quite good, considering yesterday's activities. Although obvs your 42 HRV is a lot lower than your 7-day average. (Looks a lot like doing ZRL in the evening )

My normal overnight RHR is 37-38bpm. So I'm a bit knackered

It was 15 before midnight but end of a shift in a morning it was 5. Now after few hour sleep my body battery is 48. I feel like a new man 🙄

Ah OK. Mine is 46 when well rested, but usually about 49.

I didn't see that one coming. But I guess it's part of Zwift and Wahoo learning to play nicely together?
Shame though, as competition is good for Zwift.

All functionality on RGT stopped for me a few months back. It'd say that it was 'loading the road textures' or something, then go back to the main menu. The user interface was among the worst of any piece of software I've ever used.
