DRS Summer Champions Thingy. Sprinters race (Neokyo All-nighter), 1st on both FTS and 3rd on FAL, 5th across the line. Easy victory with a healthy points margin.

996W for 15s... Aaaaaaaaargh!

Well done. That's a great win Peter.
I didn't fare quite as well in the morning Amethyst/Platinum 13th overall with 10th on sprint 1 and 6th on sprint 2. Got dropped just at the top of the climb in 12th. But my NP was 237 and FTP is 234, so at >100% intensity for 37 minutes I was working hard. Got new 5s all-time power record and 15s season record though. So can't complain, really (was 3rd in platinum).

Great write up Martin and sorry to hear you crashed. As pure coincidence a rider from my cycling club was it turns out racing for Ireland in your race as well, and he also got caught up in that same crash. He got away with a few scrapes and grazes but his bike was a little damaged and he just made it round to the finish line. Brilliant achievement evening getting there let alone being at the sharp end after your surgery. Well done again and pick that next target and smash it!!

This one?

The Chop handicap this morning

Big groups in C,B,A . The leader was driving the pace, a few were complaining of excessive pace. After 2 laps we were left with the main pack capable of holding on. A couple of times I dropped to the back but found it tough to hang on, so decided to be more active and stay near the front. Come the final lap A, caught us, I leapt onto the rear of the pack and for a brief moment thought, I could be on for a podium.

Alas their pace was too much and I went into the red, missing the B pack following on behind.

Then came the front of my C pack, I held on for dear life, but resigned to being something like 25th over the line for C. I mustered a sprint came 3rd in the pack

Zwift result 11th, ZP 7th

Far too many out of category riders- no wonder complaints were being aired

I thought the chop was CE? Mind you, that's not saying much at this time of year
