I heard on the women's TDF commentary last week a phrase what I really liked. 'Chicked'

I remember that. They were talking about one of them training by racing the u23 or u18 boys. Was it Lotte Kopecki?

Thanks for all the good wishes chaps. Back at the hotel now. I'll write a race report soon but in summary it was a race in sunny conditions (all the Scots were amazed) and pretty quick - I averaged 23.8mph.

I was in the (large) front group until at 43miles I got taken down in a big crash. Got up quickly but lead group had flown. 10 of us chased and got close but couldn't make the bridge. I came 3rd of our group and 54th of 146 overall.

Amazing! Shame about the crash but regardless, an amazing result

Great effort - shame about the crash though, sounds like you were going well. Just racing there is an achievement some of us could only dream of. Bloody well done!!

First zwift race since April ,I'd forgot how much it hurts ! . Rolling Highlands 1 lap , surprisingly held the front group well just got tailed off a bit on the descent to the corkscrew climb managed to climb through the bottom half of the group on the climb but the first 30 or so had clipped off the front . Me and 1 other tried to chase back on but failed and had no legs left for the brae kicker at the end but held everyone else behind . 30th/74 on zwift power . Really surprised to average 3.1w/kg for the the race considering I've done little high intensity stuff since April

A cycle buddie from Tenerife also took part in the world's in Glasgow. She's over the moon coming 14th for her age group.

:okay:

An 84-year-old guy from our club (he did LEJOG a couple of years ago) still does TT and qualified at the Tour of Cambridge for the age group worlds TT.
Turns out he's the only entry in his age group, so as long as he can finish, he's got a rainbow jersey
