Might try a B race sometime soon to give the legs an honest test, 20 min power not really climbing in C.

Edit maybe I should do more climbing portal. Are any of them a good distance and gradient for a steady 20min effort?

Here is the list Michael. https://zwiftinsider.com/climb-portal-list/
Anything 10km longer with enough gradient should see 20 mins or more max effort
They are on rotation for use-check out August list https://www.zwift.com/uk/events/series/zwift-climb-portal

Zwift Crit racing. I felt confident going into this event, virtually flat, ranked 2 on ZP :tongue:

Well in didn't turn out as I expected, quite steady pace for nearly 2 laps- Then two Foudre riders, obviously talking/working together launched an attack, I chased them down, only for them to go again when a Japanese rider flew by. I was beginning to burn my matches for the sprint. I couldn't catch them and was left floundering in the gap between the main pack and leaders. Another rider caught me, I latched onto his back wheel, with his tow and my draft PU we managed to catch the leaders...

I hadn't noticed due to trying to what I thought was the winning break that the pack was just yards behind. They all sailed up to us. I'd wasted a fair bit of energy for nothing. :cursing:

Sprint was longer and earlier so was not in position to make any impression. 12th on ZP

I heard on the women's TDF commentary last week a phrase what I really liked. 'Chicked'

All the racers including the favourite Foudre rider were beaten to the line by a 45kg young Japanese woman.

We were Chicked :laugh:

All the best Martin.

:okay::okay:

If I read it correctly there is an Italian off the front and the main pack which looks by the times to be strung out. Martin is still in the main group

Raced the rolling Highlands course - it'll be the first ZRL scratch race - it was only one lap instead of 3 but it's a fun course, one little steep hill so 40 seconds to a minute power very important. No gravel or any of that crap, just a fun twisty course.

1 lap in C was fun but 3 in B would be less fun 😂
