Strong team you are with there Alex. Are they younger fellas?

Edit mixture, but all very strong middle weights

Yeah our ladder squad (15 people at the moment) has quite a big range of abilities. Most of them are "established Bs" though. Today's five ranged from 1572 to 1261 on the ZR.app numerical scale. I was the lowest but didn't come last in our team as the course suited my strengths better than another guy (who's also quite new to Zwift Racing).
Today we had one masters, two vets and two 50+. We do have three 85kg+ riders but they weren't riding today.

what is your recording set up Alex?

I'm using an iPad with screen recording. It's very simple. I had mic enabled today so you got my breathing, the trainer fan noise and "race radio" as well (discord on the phone is right next to the iPad).

impressive numbers
hurty numbers

Any Cat D’s lurking in the shadows on here who might want to do ZRL this season?? We potentially have 4 atm so could start a team with a couple more…
Emphasis on the "Fun" and sledging side, rather than winning. I know myself that I will have to be careful pushing more than 350W ... I can ramp up and sustain it, but not explode

Yeah, knees still fubard, but I don't like to talk about it

Oh yes, all fun. Happy to even ride with 3-4 every week and finish bottom and sledge the other teams

My Asian Cat and Mouse race this morning was good fun albeit I was spat out of the lead pack with a couple of miles to the finish.

We held off the B and A cats

I came ZP 11th from 77 starting and first oldie , rest being veteran or masters

Nice. On Thursdays there is AHDR The Chop, which is a chase race. Did it last week. Rather good fun. Not sure about tomorrow as I've raced 3 days in a row - oops. I blame the weather.

Has anyone else with a Neo Smart bike tried the steering feature which has now been enabled via the buttons on the hoods? I've tried it a couple of times but found it awful to the point of unusable. Really random in its responsiveness, so sometimes you move when you press the steering button and sometimes you don't - or you think you haven't and then a few seconds later you shoot off in that direction unexpectedly.

I'm not sure if it's just bad in general or an issue with my particular bike/setup?

I used the steering on the Neo bike today in a race for the first time.

The race was on the Rolling Highlands course, so quite twisty in parts. I really just used it to make sure I didn’t drift to the side and lose draft, just making small adjustments to take the inner line on corners and to stay central in the group.

It seems to work fine. I got to the end of the race in the lead group, where my predictably crap sprint saw me finish 18 out of 54. Still I managed to drop a few and overtake a couple before the line.

I couldn’t find an ‘explosive sprint’ option on the Neo bike, so maybe that’s something I need Garmin/Tacx and Zwift to work on?

Yeah I definitely need that "explosive sprint " button ASAP too please!

Might try a B race sometime soon to give the legs an honest test, 20 min power not really climbing in C.

Edit maybe I should do more climbing portal. Are any of them a good distance and gradient for a steady 20min effort?
