Definitely has the speed. If he had MVDP the record would be long gone!

Philipsen has been close to DQ on several stages but would have been a crap way to get number 35! he is clearly the strongest there though, aside from WVA who is busy doing everything else

I just tried this and it actually works (but not on the top arch). It's hard to see where the arches are (they're invisible on the descent) unless you're looking at the map screen and see when you go past a star. But then if you u-turn you can go through again and get another arch reward. I think I got a couple of feathers, a couple of 10s and a couple of 250s. Nice! I'm trying to get to level 42 and I'm 40.5 at the moment, so this is quite a lot of "bang for your buck". I strongly suspect they will switch off the 250s or reduce the probability of them after an introductory period though. So enjoy it while it's there. 😁

I got 1340 bonus XP (over and above the usual 20xp/km) for 45 minutes of climbing/descending. 5 x 250 and three of those on the descent. So if you're a sad xp-chasing git, it's worth doing

I was a bit toasted after a 2 hour ride outside, but fancied another crack at the climb portal. As Peter said previously, I wasn't powering hard and I didn't get a single +250xp on the way up. Just one on the way down. So it's possible there is a power related component to the bonuses? Who knows? Might not be that at all though. Could be frequency? Will have to have another go on fresher legs next time.

I'm getting ichy feet not being able to do anything .... another 5 days wait then I'll try another hill or 2
How are people finding the other climbs? Fun?

Is that side-effect?

Let's put it this way. I enjoyed yesterday's more than today's. But then today I'd just PRed our hardest local IRL hill, so my legs weren't fresh enough to put in a decent effort. I haven't done the longer ones yet, but @Legs has done some, I think.

The graphics are a bit weird and with steering you can steer slightly off the edge, which is kinda silly. But I'd rather have it than not have it.

I've done the Tourmalet, Col D Aspin. Which for me were over 1hr40 and and hour. The Aspin didn't feel as easy even shorter. Probably cause I did it fasted and a bit tired.

I hope they keep these portals open and the all the climbs available indefinitely now .... a great addition to the Zwift worlds

They are starting to get popular with quite a number of riders. You can have a little competition 😁

I remember the old Bkool Goat leagues ... I was last every single course  Probably won't be any better these days

I'd be up for a Goat league though if someone wants to set it up. I have done one already, and hopefully will get another in before I go on hols.
