I know you are waiting with bated breath - so here is my April Review Blog

Looking good. The weight will come off quickly with all the outdoor rides.

Yeah Alex, you wimp, rolling in without a sprint
Felt like it after finishing in exactly that place last week after going long for the win. The fact that two others clearly had absolutely nothing left in their legs was weirdly encouraging too. One of our Bs fell off up the Sgurr as well. Goal was to get everyone in the top 20 up the Sgurr, but we raced with 7, one had a dropout and another fell off. That left 5 in the front group.

I think the power and effort I've seen you do on these morning events are making you super strong.

It's certainly pushing me. It reminds me a bit of when I first started ZRL and gradually managed to hold on for longer and longer.
But I certainly felt it after yesterday's race. We did Muckle Yin 3 minutes faster than in my Race Scotland event.
2 more weeks of DRS to go. Chain Chomper - 2 laps on compulsory gravel bikes next week.

Gorgeous weather down here today, should really get outside later but got an icky tummy, so may have to jump on Zwift instead (incase I need to make a quick exit!!)

Trying to get back into the routine of cycle one day, gym the next ... I'm just not putting in enough miles at the moment. Would love to do a hundred miler this year but nowhere near that currently.

Too much distraction in my life, with stalker/police issues (hopefully resolved now) and trying to push through my house move ... oh, and the little thing called work!

I'm just down the road at Woodhall on the same day-Dambusters.

Have you done the Lincoln GP before? I really liked it, fast flat start, rolling hills, then the Wolds, some more rolling, then to kill you off 200yds from the finish Michaelgate ;)

No first time ,It's only 4500 ft of upness ,who says Lincolnshire is flat . Well aware of the finish, it ticks of Micheal gate off the 100 climbs ( or 75 midland climbs ) . Not a massive sportive fan but pre COVID always did 1 a year not done one since 2019.

Same here really. Not done a road event since 2019, did off 40miler road last September.

See how I get on, whether it sparks outdoor interest

Powerups changes sound largely positive. Burrito stops being an act of self sabotage

Nice. There was a consultation thread about this a few months ago on the Zwift Forums. Looks like they've taken onboard nearly all the suggestions people made, which is really positive. Perhaps we will hate the burrito a bit less now?

Feather looks to become even more useful

I prefer events without power ups. I dislike the random nature of them and don't think this update will change that. If anything, it'll probably make me dislike them more as they just became more powerful overall.

The more I race, I think the more I am tending towards this position as well. There's nothing quite as dispiriting as hanging onto a small breakaway group of 4 all race, to be the only one who gets XP just before the Clyde Kicker and everyone else gets a feather.

I've really enjoyed the "no powerup" races in DRS. It makes it more about the race than the game. Was also happy when the Chasing series switched them off. But I still think there's a place for both types of race. Would be nice if you could control powerups in "Club" events too.
