Race 2 confused me ... I went with 500 mtrs showing on my screen and no one else sprinted. So I thought maybe there were 2 laps and my screen was wrong ... I sat up and 3 riders came past me. I should have won :banghead:

Race 4, I used anvil in wrong place. Attacked early, got a nice gap, but pipped on line by someone who used their anvil at the right place

Enjoyed that. Definitely got my fitness back. About bloody time too .... calf, covid, chest infection, mental issues ... been a long road to recovery this past 12 months

My race 2 video shows that you went before everyone else, but I think everyone else was a bit slow getting going. I was certainly trying to put the power down...

Certainly last week in race 1 nobody actually went until 300m, which I thought was unusual. How did you find PD4? Did you notice anything different?

I didn't realise I was 10s behind on the second climb at one point - was focusing on not dying too much.

The acceleration at 40:20 (after the race) looks funny, especially because Zwift showed me on the stairs and not the boards

Didn't realise it was PD4 ... but I did think it was an 'easy' pace once in the draft... probably because no washing machine effect up front dragging the pack along faster

LOL I didn't think there was anything easy about it, but then those sorts of races suit you better than me. Give me something a bit more climby - particularly at the finish to neutralise the sprinters a bit.
But that was really the highest quality field I've ever seen in the Tinies. You usually get 3 or 4 sub-200s

Do you look at the "Race Ranking" tab before races? I often do as it gives a quick view of how "good" the field is.

Have done in the past, but what I tend to do these days is look at the list of entrants and sort by rank, so you know who your competitors are.
Then if it's a climby race I'll go to Zwiftracing.app and sort by 1,2,5-minute w/kg etc and also look at the ratings there - I find them more representative of people's ability than the ZP wrank.

Did a PB this morning on Tempus Fugit… 321W for 20 mins… a 12s improvement… but broke the strap on my beloved Sidi Genius 4 shoes! 😢 It seems quite hard (read: impossible) to get the right replacement part…

Edit: think I can get the replacement parts. I do have a near-identical pair of Genius 6 which are my road-going shoes, so I’m not going to be going without, fortunately.

I just look at the amount of people entering an event😳

I need to research more to filter out everyone who are better than me, or lighter, more powerful, better looking etc etc ☺️

I tend to sign up last minute, and actually lately haven't been doing much outside of ZRL but if I do I'll take a look at zwiftpower and sometimes https://zrace.bike/ just to motivate myself
