That said, I think I’m going to be doing my 3x AdZ ride on Friday night, probably starting at 8pm. First two ascents I’ll be aiming for as close to 3.2W/kg as possible. Join me through ‘Join A Zwifter’ if you want - if not, at least chuck a Ride On my way! I might be on Discord if I can find my earphones!
Scrub that, I’m spending the evening with my lovely wife before she goes away for the weekend, and shunting the ride on to Saturday night, 8pm on Road to Sky.

Wise move Carl, you've got plenty of fitness to take to Jordan ;)

I'm more paranoid about injury before I go ... rupturing the calf before Marrakech last year was bad, and I don't won't to do similar again

I'm getting old 🤣

I don't have a gravel bike on Zwift, I think.

Can you put gravel wheels on the Aethos?

got my HRM strap working again but it doesnt go much about 130 bpm even if im giving welly and sometimes goes down , for some resaon it also doesnt read below 70 bpm and i did a blood pressure check which read my resting at 57 bpm
Maybe just replace the battery? Or is that what you did to get it working?

You will almost certainly have the default Zwift Gravel bike as I think they gave that away for free at one point.

But from recollection most of the gravel bikes and wheels are ridiculously cheap and you've probably got millions of drops by this point anyway.
Checked. Yes, I have that - along with the other 'free stuff' (basic TT, basic MTB, etc.).

That's pricey for a road bike with knobby tires and no front derailleur!

But yeah, we're all 'drop millionaires', aren't we? Shame you can't use them to pay for the subscription.

I did a Bambino Fondo yesterday, which I thought would be a gentle 33 miler, but how wrong was I. The front runners went off at threshold pace for me and I wasn't looking for that type of intensity.

I let myself slip backwords through the groups until I found a group, who were a bit quicker than me for climbing but once we got over the initial bumps in Watopia I could then cruise in low Z2 through the deserts.

The group we were in caught the similar sized pack 30 secs in front to form a 30 strong pack, we were then joined by a 20 strong pack from behind. all the while collecting the stragglers who'd lost the wheels of the two main packs in front. We entered Watopia and passed through to the Volcano to do a couple of loops before finishing on the KOM. I rolled across 130/414 starters. To wind down and extend my ride I Z1 to 40 miles.

This is my transition to adding endurance for spring outdoor events

Today Im being a walking soigneur for the Mrs, who is doing a local cross country walk. Hope she makes it, she injured her knee 10 days ago and it still niggles her a bit.
