Considered ceramic bearings until Hambini, said they weren't worth the money

Plus it suits my deep pockets

About week ago I replaced bottom bracket to my trainer bike as well. Old one was Ceramicspeed so I decided to stay that brand with new BB as well. Indoor training is very tough for drivetrain and especially BB. Ceramicspeed maybe it's waste of money but I like how smooth it is.

I add sugar to almost everything, even things that already have added sugar

That's because you're young, us oldies have to worry about diabetes,

No added sugar for me, with home-made kefir instead of milk. Nom nom.

I've moved to adding salt to porridge. I don't often eat it these days. My eating strategy for long training rides is start fasted from the night before, eat carbs(anything) after an hour to 1hr30.

Keep eating small portions till ride is finished. Swap to protein whey isolate immediately after riding.

You know the rest OMAD and all that good stuff 🤣

Granola for breakfast.

I'm racing up the Alpe at 1430. I've just had a 3 egg omelette with cheddar and stilton. Two bits of toast and now 50g of chocolate with my after lunch coffee.

I'll have a bottle with 50:50 OJ/water with some salt and sugar added and a bottle of water for during the ride. I have BelVita biscuits close to hand, reachable from my Zwifting rig, but rarely bother. I use them on long outdoor rides though, along with nuts and raisins.

Having a rough weekend. Started with a cold on Wednesday (not a surprise as my wife had it earlier in the week) but it hasn’t really developed - still got the sore throat and the lethargic feeling, but it hasn’t progressed into the constant coughing and blowing of the nose that it usually would by now.

So my plans for an outdoor 80km this morning got downgraded to a 50km ride, which then became an indoor 50km when I couldn’t rouse myself off the sofa in time to go out.

Scheduled to do two laps of the Muckle Yin course and felt I was doing okay, but as I got dropped at the end of the first lap my legs lost interest in pushing and I ended up quitting the event to instead do a couple of reverse laps of the Glasgow crit course (the lumpy segment is odd from this direction). All in all only 30km done when I’d planned so much more.

Hopefully this cold will either develop or go away before Thursday so I can give the Splitters race a decent go.
