I am thinking of starting a thread in the Main Forum aimed at people who do structured workouts. We have a place here to encourage each other / brag / describe our races but it might be good to have somewhere dedicated to similar but for workouts.

Do you guys think that would be a good thing to do? Would you engage with it?

Good idea Martin - worth starting a thread on that.

Was going to say something but nah. Just watch this:

Everyone is stoked in that video even Pidcock.
The Safa videos are great for z2 work, especially as boredom and low level fatigue sets in.

I am doing ToC but only the 70 mile Sportive this year. The past few times I’ve done it I’ve always gone for the longest route available but ended up finding that middle flat section such a drag (especially when you find the inevitable headwind section) that I felt like skipping that part for once.

As I am now over 60, we use that route as well. To be honest, I have traditionally done better the longer the event is so I would have preferred the 100 miler.

Great idea.

I've been Zwifting for over two years now but I've only just done Emily's Short Mix for the first time. Normally I think that an hour is a worthwhile amount of time to spend on the bike to get a workout in so I've rarely done any of the shorter workouts. Wow, this one was tough! I was spending the time at FTP recuperating and preparing for the 115% blocks - I had to kid myself that 310W was feeling easy

I'm still a bit apprehensive about doing The Gorby again because I failed on the fourth interval last time out and I'm still a bit mentally scarred.

Going away for the weekend because it's my Dad's 70th today, so there'll be a bit of indulgence, probably quite a lot of drinking, and definitely no Zwifting until at least Sunday night!

I think it will be great lookup resource for picking training workouts. Save a few blank posts on page 1 for adding workout listings/links. Maybe separate them into individual training platforms Zwift/Wahoo/TrainerRoad

Wahoo/SYSTM is all about the videos. And the sense of being there. You don’t often get blocks of this or that in a tr or Zwift sense. So difficult to recommend particular workouts . So a power graph is much more jaggy and representative of real life riding. There are some TR like rides and i know @Legs has a few favourites.

I think my set up must be playing silly beggars this morning !
normally hover just below 50 mins but today i knocked over 10 mins off on the alpe , seemed to be over reading my power by about 1.5 w/ kg

TBF with a dumb-trainer and speed sensor, you've got no idea whatsoever what your capability is. You are not the only rider with this issue. And if it's prone to having calibration wobbles, it's practically useless - you've got no idea whether you're performing better or worse at any time. The only beneficial thing is that you're at least turning pedals. I'd guess, based on your IRL rides, that your FTP is somewhere between 1 and 3.5 W/kg. Considering that you were struggling to put your socks on a fortnight ago, I'd be very surprised if you could break the hour based on your actual power today.

I've started a thread. Let's see if it is of any value

As others have pointed out, this kind of setup will be completely out of whack. That doesn't mean you shouldn't enjoy riding on Zwift or other virtual platforms. I would however suggest making these activities private on stuff like Strava as it will raise a lot of eyebrows - until you get an accurate rig.
