Has flybys disappeared from Strava, or is it now only available for paying customers?
I think it's gone from the free version

I thought Flyby had been ditched due to privacy and data protection rules .
It was castrated due to GDPR. Everyone had previously been opted in by default (without consent), but Strava forcibly opted everyone out, which pretty-much killed it as hardly anyone bothered to opt back in. I believe it still exists, but is now completely useless as only a couple of percent of people opted back in.

I cancelled my Strava subscription late last year. The premium features expire next month. I was was not getting benefit or wasn't using it fully to warrant paying.
Luckily I've unsubscribed just intime, or could've been caught in shady price increase
I subscribed in December for the 14 months on offer. The way I read your text, I can cancel it now, and it will still be running until the end of the current sub (Feb. 2024) and just not renew automatically, right?
I have start to consider that option as well. If Strava is start to practice secretive game then there is no other way to react than cancel subscription.
I pay annually and get a reminder (from Strava) a few weeks before the payment telling me how much it is. I don't find that secretive or problematic.

Well, if a company sends you 100s of mails per year, you might miss that one.
Agreed. Seems to be an issue for monthly payers. My subs year runs from June, so we'll see in a few months.A substantial price hike like those discovered, should be at the top of everyone‘s Strava feed. I wasn’t going to subscribe, if there was no extra 2 months, and I find it HIGHLY unlikely renewing with those price increases hitting random users at random times. THAT is secretive and problematic.
