Latest GCN Vid of Zwift Academy was a bit dramatic. Worth a watch.
Yeah, an interesting watch. It's the last episode later today. I hope they're not going to shaft the Italian lady just because of her age - Clearly the best of the lot IMHO. May be an Italian double, actually.

Foolish? It’s a use case scenario isn’t it? If you have no need to use it for anything else then the guide is great.

I do have a much better SFF gaming pc I built up for , err, work 😁 but that cost a lot more and is often borrowed by one of my sons.

Fwiw it runs Zwift only a little better than the 1050ti Zwift base unit with a an 7y old cpu. Sise of the Zwift unit.

Yes, building/buying a PC which will only be good (enough) for one game, instead of a PC that can handle others too, is in my opinion foolish. Dave did run into some trouble with his “8GB is all you need” mantra lately when Zwift suddenly required more to run as before.

I too use a SFF, but one that has room for both a full size PSU and a biggish GPU (GTX1060 in mine too). Only takes an ITX-motherboard, which makes things a little more expensive, but it fits perfectly on the shelf next to me. :okay:

I recently priced up a new SFF itx build for my son for Xmas and prices remain insane . I can see why the Xbox s sells so well.

Just had a decent race result for a change!

10 laps of the bell circuit. That little lump seemed to come round faster and faster each lap but I managed to stay in the front pack which was relentless pace.

22 started but only 13 finished after quite a few got shelled (Not mentioning any names :hello:). The winner averages 400w. The guy in 7th average 208w. Quite a spread…

I got 6th. Put out a decent sprint (I know right!) 8/9 w/kg after averaging 310w for 25 minutes is prob the most pleasing part of the result by some margin.

Thought it was brag post worthy even without accompanying video

I can’t watch those videos. Care to write some cliffs? Give you something to do

(Get well soon amigo!)

The draft is significant though only half that un ideal conditions on the flat. SOE q could be asked about methodology no doubt but 2 riders and sameish results.

Just watch pretty good documentary called Slaying The Badger. Team work sound very scheming when team want that Hinault should win and 80% of riders and Lemond should only help or protect himself knowing that he is stronger and anything can happen to him. Not surprised if he was bit of paranoid those days.

Well surely that depends on whether you play any other games? I don't, and I have no interest in doing so. Even if I did, I don't think I'd want to go out in the cold garage where my zwifting setup is to do it. I already have a laptop for anything else PC related. So for me (and others) there's literally no need to pay for spec that exceeds what's needed for a decent zwift experience.

I wasn't aware of it needing more than 8gb - that's still the official advice isn't it? And for the record it runs great on my cheap build with 8gb currently...
