Zwift insider says for the Richmond Wtrl race which this is similar too Aero still beats weight so Tron or aero bike with lightweight aero wheels . I used my canyon aeroad and zip 808 wheel

Holy hell, 5 laps of that Cobbled Climbs course in the ZRL tonight was BRUTAL

Team Splitters came 6th tonight and we finish the league in 4th - we were in with a shot at winning at one point this season but have been hit a bit hard with illness and technicals for the last couple of weeks - but still good fun as always (well, ask me about whether tonight's race was "fun" in a few days maybe!). Thanks to @bobinski for stepping in to the team tonight :okay:

How did it go for Team CCC - I see you slacked off with just 4 laps in Cat C so I guess it was a walk in the park? ;)

Race video here - still currently processing in HD but should be done soon I think. See if you cna spot when I got cramp :surrender:

From your Strava picture I hope you didn't run over Santa's Rudolph. Seriously, icy there?

😄

Yeah not ideal commuting weather! We had snow here yesterday Randy which always sends the country into an unprepared panic. I would have really like to have taken a train this morning but train workers are striking so I had to cycle in. I managed to stay upright which might surprise some of you. God knows how! It was like looking down at an ice rink for long stretches of the journey. Not ideal on a track bike… How’s the weather up in Sitka?

We gambled with various tactics. Carl, Alex went with the leaders, but we're gapped on lap 2.
Phil Dave , Steve tried their hearts out.
I decided to pootle around and go for the 23rd st sprint. Personally I did very well, coming 1st 4th,4th fastest .

My fault- I didn't realise only one best time counts, which was 11th overall.

A solid 6 events in our division. Only one fella was promoted from top teams. We are never going to beat a younger squad with nearly everyone running near maximum category W/kg figures

We needed to beat the Vegans to hold onto 5th place in our league. But unfortunately they were better at that course than us. I got dropped on lap 2 at 23rd Street after getting 8th FAL on Libby. I then had one Vegan 14s ahead of me and another 14s behind me. So I decided to chase back on. It took me until just before the 180 degree hairpin before Libby to get back on. Unfortunately, I then got properly dropped on Libby, but managed to finish 14th. Carl got some FAL and FTS points and finished a few places behind me.

Everyone else was trying to finish ahead of the Vegans, but they had two in the top 10, so that was that. Tied for league points, they beat us on overall finish points. So we're 6th for this round. Feels like we were robbed, but in all honesty they were better than us today.

It's not that only one best time counts- you could in theory have got the top 4 FTS times for the race (or any 4 places in the top 10), scoring on each of your laps, it's just that the FTS points are for the best times in the race overall, not per lap.
