Anyone doing the Flamme Rouge ITT today? We are at friends but if I get back in time I plan to have a bash (17:30).

Yup. Did the stage yesterday as well. More likely to make the 19:15 though. Still, signed up for 17:30 too, just in case I make it.

Nope. Knackered now. Just done Dust in the wind for WICR. crossed 7th, but #1 was a superlight who's been taking the piss throughout with really high W/kg and got WKGed. That's gotta really hurt after busting your nuts for 1 hour 30  I got 2nd FTS on Titans Grove reverse.
Did a gravel bike swap for the jungle bit too. Didn't gain or lose any places from it, but it made me more efficient.

If my legs recover I'm off at 19.21 . Legs are certainly feeling last night's effort 56 hilly Kms of zwift racing hurts a bit . Last night race I hung on to the lead group until Leith hill where it got strung out and me not wanting to burn all my matches before halfway just let the gap grow too much so unable to catch on the downhill .Found myself in a group of 4 just crusing really .A group of 3 slowly caught us so we 5km to go I was in a group of 7 . @Peter Salt popped a message up at this time informing me the finish was 200mts past the Mall Banner .I drafted the group and as we entered the mall 1 rider saw the first banner and went early ,I held back slowly ramping it up then went full at 200mts to go passing everyone in the group and cruelling rolling the guy who went early on the line  as he died a death so 14th it was. Slightly annoyed the lady who's wheel let slip on Leith finished 90 secs up the road in a group of 4 so 10th may have been possible

Sounds great fun. Saw you got 14th on ZP. Excellent result. Beaten by a girlie though

A lightweight girlie though:okay:

I'm not sure if that's better or worse?
To be fair we all had out butts kicked by a 49kg 4 W/kg female in ZRL this week (under the 200W floor though).

It's always hard to judge whether to "go into the red now" on the climb in order to hang on, but I've found, if you can make yourself do it, you've got a much better chance of holding on and being on the right side of any split. And that usually pays dividends later, even if you drop off later on, you'll be so far ahead of the next bunch you likely won't get caught.

Let's face it, as a light rider, the uphills are where you have a potential advantage over the big guys. If you can nestle nicely in the bunch and supertuck down the hill afterwards, that gives you a bit of recovery. Doesn't always work though.

@13 rider I think you might have accidentally swapped teams?

For whatever reason they moved us both to another team. Probably due to low attendance. Just wrote an email to race control telling them to move me back and leave the squad alone. WTF.

Pissed me right off. Not riding unless they move me back, fekin muppets.

Debating whether to do Round 4 of Race Makuri in about 45 minutes time. It's my last chance to do it, but having already done two events today, and done all the Christmas decorating (well, the heavy lifting bits anyway - leave the actual making things look good part to the other half) I'm thoroughly knackered. 'Spose I could just cruise round and set a time - it's not a course I've done anyway, so at least I'll get the badge.

Completed the Tour of Makuri at about 2pm by doing my final outstanding ride with a Pace Partner (oops sorry, RoboPacer), then at 3:30pm did the 5th stage of Herd Winter Racing, where I took almost a minute off my Volcano KOM PR plus hit new high 20 minute and 5 minute powers in ZP - not my highest watts ever, but because I've lost a bit of weight, my W/kg is obviously going to be getting better regardless.
