A bit of progress to report. I've finally ditched the crutches / sticks and walk unaided. I can do a mile plus but it it still quite sore so on my physio's advice I'm taking painkillers.

I'm not allowed on normal bikes / turbo but I am allowed on recumbent types. So I headed to the my Gym, which does have the semi recumbent bikes and did 2 x 5 minute sessions. My average power on the second spell was 34W so don't think I'm quite ready for a Zwift race yet

Nice to see you back in the saddle 👍

You might be right but let us not dwell on that

Sadly one is a fat pig and lost most of his power. Trying to get it back though. Diet, regular cycling and a few months effort and hopefully I'll be back at the pointy end of Cat C 👍

That was a fun race ... you, Steve and me against the chasing hoards

Great result for the B team tonight - we won the stage despite technical problems meaning Al and Rich got dropped earlier than we'd have liked, but the remaining four pushed really hard to the end and held on to win by 5 seconds. A couple of bad results for the two teams that were ahead of us in the league moves us to top of the table with 3 stages to go :bravo:

7th out of 12 for CCC, which given we knew how strong some of the other teams in our league were at TTTs, was probably about a par score for us. We remain in 4th place overall, though only just one point ahead of the 5th placed team now.

@CXRAndy spent about 80% of the flat part of the course on the front putting out massive watts, while TTT debutant @13 rider held on to the group all the way to the finish to be our fourth man and got a big upgrade to his FTP to boot.

In non ZRL news I did an ‘easy’ D race tonight and Zwift says my FTP is now 253w. Pretty happy with that as I’ve not been doing much high intensity stuff. The power is heading in the right direction… just need the weight to head in the opposite one

Well done B & C teams tonight! How was it on the TT bikes? Much difference?

Here's the video of our winning effort - yes we were trying to stay in a neat line....no we didn't do a great job of that! But it may look messy but it was also fast apparently so who cares! Your chance to re-live it if the trauma isn't still too raw @Rich A @<Tommy> y> @mjd1988 @Girafitti @IrishAl

Poor Alan just disappears at 14:34 seconds after Rich lost back wheel.

TT bikes definitely seemed a little harder to draft effectively, probably due to higher speed. Well done on the win Joffey, I see Peter got on well in a B race today as well

I haven't realised you were in the same race until after  Good going.

Also, didn't know there were primes. Was surprised when other people went on the sprint.

No one in my race realised it is all based on primes either!

It's quite a good format for ZRL training but sadly in D there isn't enough riders (as is always the case). But with all the other Cats on course I have been jumping on the back of B & C groups and getting a bit of a workout that way.

I went up the climb with a bunch of C's - I didn't fancy trying to jump on the back of your group... I was already blowing
