Haha - think I may need it. Best ever times doesn't take "current form" into account or how big was the group you were riding/racing with. But I still can't see it being any worse than a single W/kg figure - particularly if averaged off into groups of 4+.
If there are takers for it, I'll give it a try and we'll see. But let's get tomorrow's TTT out the way first

Just don't chose a course where I was a Cat B and racing in ZRL and base mine on that

People will moan about any system, but I think if we could get 8+ people wanting to have a go, it could work in two groups. If we got the time gap wrong we could iterate. People will complain either way, but as long as the race is fun, who gives a toss?

I've entered a few AHDR races which are handicap. Sometimes we (C) hold off the B and A"s by 20 or 30 seconds over a 40 min race, sometimes we are caught with a couple of miles to go.

It's normally when the pack is well motivated that the pace stays high and it becomes 'all for one, one for all' do or die attitude that a category succeeds.

Last couple events there was a bit of lethargy in the bunch and we were caught easily

Unfortunately on current form I only have a turn of pace for 20 seconds  You have nothing to worry about!

Just glad to see you up and running again. :okay: How is the injury?

Silly experiment du jour.
Using a second tablet logged in on my wife's Zwift ID in 'fan view' to get a second camera angle (so I can see if someone's creeping up behind me 😂). Bit of a pain to set up unless you have a second mobile device with Zwift companion app on. With only one device, you have to log out of one ID and back into the other to set up fan view. But hey. That would be 5 screens. More screens can only be good, right?
The other issue is, if you stop, it jumps to another rider. So don't stop!!!! (although that wouldn't be an issue with another instance of Zwift Companion running)

A bit of progress to report. I've finally ditched the crutches / sticks and walk unaided. I can do a mile plus but it it still quite sore so on my physio's advice I'm taking painkillers.

I'm not allowed on normal bikes / turbo but I am allowed on recumbent types. So I headed to the my Gym, which does have the semi recumbent bikes and did 2 x 5 minute sessions. My average power on the second spell was 34W so don't think I'm quite ready for a Zwift race yet

Great progress already just walking unaided. And I hope your recovery will be easier because of all your prehab.

Cheers Alex. Injury better but I still get discomfort in my groin after riding. The scan I had showed there was no hernia or tears and I've rested it for 4 months so I have decided it's probably not going to be 100% so I am going to put up with it. Maybe as I get stronger the discomfort will go.

I am considering a bike fit also as it gets worse on my road bike. Managed somehow to get the Wattbike dialled in perfectly but it is a struggle transferring that 'fit' on to my road bike for some reason!
