I believe that it is possible to take any gpx and make a route in RGT - this would include any route from Zwift
So in theory it should be easy to make a direct comparison to a race you boys have done lately
Bet that will be downhill as well !
who’s bitter !?

A bitter former splitter? Or should that be a bitter double splitter?

I was thinking Mont Ventoux descent .. even I might buy a new phone to join that one

Isn't cheddar gorge @bridgy's stomping ground?

My in-laws used to live in Somerset and I enjoyed riding around the Glastonbury area but never did the gorge. Wish I had!

They're in Dorset now but moved last summer and we are yet to visit. I had planned a ride to them on boxing day when the Christmas rules permitted it, but then we got dumped into tier four and had to cancel!

Waiting for weather to warm up a bit then off out in the real world

Mapped a couple of rides, and definitely looking at this either today or tomorrow. Top left of ride, where I loop back on myself is Cheddar Gorge. Never been up there before and didn't realise it was so close to where I live. Kamoot thinks this will be a 4 hour ride at an average of 26kph .... Nice target to aim at.

For anyone who doesn't know the area, the Glastonbury showing on the map is the Glastonbury :okay:

While you’re in the area Carl you should get in Burrington Coombe climb in as well.
Although it’s not so iconic as Cheddar it’s quieter and very enjoyable.

I'd love to ride Cheddar Gorge - I'll maybe do it this summer if I can find a local campsite.
Plenty of local campsites round here

I plan to head out that way again tomorrow (or Weds if legs are too tired tomorrow). Not heard of that climb so I'll look it up :okay:

I live in Cheddar so let me know if any of you are planning a ride down this way - I'll do my best to join you and happy to help with any routing etc
I have your number still in my phone from when we did the Isle of Wight .... so if I need oxygen later I may give you a call

Waiting to hear back from my solicitor so not heading out before 11, but will be in your area sometime between 1 and 2 I would think if legs hold up :okay:

I joined the Zsun chaingang for the 3rd week last night, pretty much an A cat ride but hoped to stay with the group. Epic fail. I couldn't get consistent power and was a minute down on my best time for the first lap. 2 laps in I was out the back and slowed. Reviewing HR shows 20bpm below usual max, a clear indication something not right.I have woken this morning with a sore throat and heavy chest so at least I have an excuse for an abject performance.

Sorry mate. Maybe I’m missing something but when did we accept that was an excuse?

Do I really need to check the reference book or can we agree to an out of court settlement? Tickly throat you say? I think we all know where this is going.... -4

As you might say in your day job, case closed. 👍

Going on the basis that Ventoux looks 50/50 at best. Maybe we should start planning something like this as a back up. Or just do both if luck is ok out side.
Would be great! I have a lovely route planned already from when you and Lee were considering coming down here last year - a bit of Mendips climbing, a little trip to the seaside, and some Flanders-esque lanes on the Somerset Levels!
