Whats going on, Marino? Do you think both your trainer and power meter are faulty now?!

If you have an accurate power meter (and Stages is considered accurate) then you don't necessarily need a top end trainer, you can use a cheaper one to give you some dynamic resistance and use the reading from the PM in game for accuracy. Thats what I've done for a while now and it works well. I moved from an entry level to mid range turbo recently, but I'd say that if you'll be using a PM then why pay for improved power accuracy in a top end trainer when it won't even be used to record power?!

Good point, if my power meter proves to be reliable then your right I don't need to purchase an expensive trainer.
I will look into the cheaper alternatives, thanks for showing me the light. :okay:

Ear buds for zwift and more. I am not an Amazon fan boy but i picked up a pair of the echo buds that are now on sale at 50% off so £60 because a wireless charging replacement is due. They are pretty darned good, connect automatically to phone/iPad when you put them in your ear, have bose noise cancellation etc and excellent call quality and so great for dischord. What really surprised me was sound quality. I have high end AKG’s and also some nice IEM’s and a good dac and so something to compare them with. Although not as good the sound is noticeably better than some other headphones I have even ignoring the limitations of bluetooth. Definitely a step up from the £20 bt ones I have used when zwifting. And apparently you can use just one if you prefer.
If you want to ride outside with them you can set up different levels of pass through so can hear the world/ a car. If you happy buying from Amazon then highly recommend.

Yeah, I've had a look at wiggle ... They are still bloody expensive, and the single sided option .... ermmmmmm ... I'm in contact with the guy on faceache that Brendan posted ... £380 plus the cost of two pedal body sets, and I'm all set up ^_^:okay:

Magic Bkool Watts :okay:. Bkool - and Bkool trainers were notoriously innacurate - and generous - back then.!
Looks like from that table that I was the only one with realistic watts at the top-end of the table. Yet somehow they propelled me to third.

Vagaries of Bkool or another fine example of blatant wheel-sucking? ^_^

But your existing trainer does the job of dynamic resistance, just with a bit of noise that Elite say is normal? Not sure you really need a new turbo at all?!
