RWB - Friday is on The Highline. Is it worth going for a climbing set up? The flats don't bother me, I tootle around them at 75%, but when it goes up I might be able to use my power and the lighter bike a bit better? Or isn't it worth it and we are only talking tenths of seconds advantage if anything?
Timing and moderating your effort is going to make a much bigger difference than any equipment choice, I think. That said, the finish is uphill, so go with something lightweight and aero - for me, it'd definitely be Canyon Aeroad and DT wheels.

What is this? The forecast on Sunday is bad so might be looking for something else to do!
@Randyberlin has set up a race on RGT that both us Zwifters and the those that have remained on (or returned to) Bkool can race together.

If you haven't yet used RGT you need to download the app on your phone and on your PC (or it's a fee app like Zwift on Apple TV) and follow the link Randy posted to sign up for the race which is here - http://app.rgtcycling.com/event?code=hVbgZKeuuK

I plan to be there. I've only ridden on RGT once so I might have to have another little practice before Sunday!

I'll opt for my S5 and Zipp 808s then - a similar set up to the Canyon I think.

Still very expensive though ... may wait until they come down in price a bit.
Yeah, 1200 quid for a pair of SPD power meter Pedals :eek:. However with Vector 3's still in stock for around £650 and then 200 for the SPD pedal bodies ....

I suspect the price will come down once there are no more Vector 3's available

I'll be racing in the British Cycling / British Masters Series on Sunday. It is a tough one with 3 laps of Sand and Sequoia. The winner in my Age Band last race (60-64) averaged 390W for 1hr 6 minutes. Some of these oldies ain't bad
Not that it makes any difference ultimately, but I'd be taking a forensic look at his Zwiftpower profile and Strava (if he's not set it to private!) if I was in a race series with someone like that!

If 100% legit, that's extremely impressive!

Do you know much about the course @bridgy? Looks pretty flat/downhill!

I have  Looks pretty legit. He's done a 6:25 up Box Hill (in real life) and he is 95kg.

I raced it on Bkool YEARS ago but can't remember it! Yeah, looks like there's a few short uphills but it finishes lower than it starts so more downhill than up. Bet you're even more tempted now @Joffey :okay:

There are selling the single sided SPD ones on Wiggle now and you can get 12% off :okay:

Anyone else on here use an Elite Direto trainer.
I’ve had it for over 3 years and it’s always sounded rough and I assumed it was my old 9 speed road bike causing it.
Now I’ve changed the cassette and put my newer road bike on it I’ve realised it’s not the bike but the trainer(yeah I know I’m a genius)^_^
I’ve replaced the belt and pulley that were worn and was about to break and it calibrated very well.
It makes a grinding noise and knocks when I climb and if feels like the drive chain and cassette are covered in sand which you can feel through to your legs.
I’ve asked elite support for some advice and I’ve had to send a video in and basically they said this was normal:ohmy:.
So it looks like I either put up with it or I bite the bullet and purchase something else.
I would assume it’s between the neo or the kicker as being the best two trainers on the market.
This is turning into an expensive year!
