Yep, I've just watched the video and it is pretty amusing. Not at the time though ^_^
My response would have been more colourful I feel :cursing:

If we want to do another scratch race next Tuesday I think we'll have to stick to the Meetup format becuase the only suitable races I can see to latch onto are at 7.15pm (plus a delay to let the main race go), or 6pm.

7pm is about the latest a number of people are willing to do, and 6pm is too early for a lot of people. So to keep at the 7pm time which just about works for the largest number of people we will need to do a meetup again. (Just remember to keep an eye on your distance to go and look out for the blue banner finish line, rather than just the course finish banner!)

My thuoghts on the course would be to either stick with Figure 8 again, or if people fancy changing it, we could go for something like 2 laps of Richmond UCI Worlds (https://www.strava.com/segments/12128718), which has three short punchy climbs each lap, and a long flat section for anyone dropped to try and catch back up - usually makes for really good racing.

If anyone has any other thoughts or strong opinions, let us know here...

Something with a reasonable long painful climb. Or lots of short painful climbs. Not because I like suffering. But I do like the thought of making other people suffer, and the two things balance each other out nicely!

Rolling start has worked pretty well in the past. Prob best take result from the road rather than zwift.

Do you have any routes in mind, other than my suggestion of Richmond? I think there might be some push back from some people if we do one with too big a climb. Trying as much as possible to keep (nearly) everyone happy....

I can look tonight at home mate. But I think the volcano climb always makes a really good racing course. Or the epic kom? But I’m fine with a race like Richmond, Surrey hills etc. Alternatively, and this is my preference. We run a race every week even after the league starts. Then we can run the whole spectrum of courses.

out and back again is a good one although its about an hour,
