I could see from the leaderboard that @BurningLegs had the fastest time, shortly followed by Paul and Tommy. Well done guys :bravo:. And it sounds like a good close finish too.

Shame it dropped out then as it was a good group and about to hot up as we approached the KoM. Same again next week?
I got my second fastest time up the KOM, so didn’t have much more to give!

I’m up for another scratch race next week. I think joining an organised race then getting results from Zwiftpower would be the way to go 🙂

Sounds good but we lose the roll out together which was a nice way to start and kept us together and an organised race likely won’t.

My legs buckled underneath me on the forward KOM - I just couldn’t get the power down. @Alongo and I just about managed to bridge back to @Ketty, @bobinski and @Brendan Parker, but I’d burnt all my matches by then and, in spite of shirking as much of the work as possible, I was toast.

Still managed to record the highest W/kg in the race though 🤨

It was good to see you and the others come back. PB for me on the first Kom but floundered on the second.

Unless we just stayed in the pen for a couple of minutes after the race starts?
That would have to be the case else the faster guys would get in a group and get pulled along even faster whilst the rest of us would be dropped in the first minute. Probably have to join A cat pen too, so all riders can race without getting DQ'd. Sitting for 30 seconds should be enough :okay:

I think you’re right that it wouldn’t work for a scratch race - I was more flippantly suggesting we do an ITT! Bologna is very much a race of two halves...

Yeah I've done it before as an ITT - it's great isn't it? I remember @peterob went up that hill with the most ridiculously high watts :notworthy:

Well, nothing to stop us doing that if that's what people want to do. I kind of like the race format better for our private races before we get back to ZRL stuff as we're directly racing against each other and we could do the ITT any time really. But I'll go with the flow
