Good to see lots of interest already in the RWB league starting at 7pm on Friday for those of us already withdrawing from ZRL.

Bit of a more old fashioned every man for himself series, but if we have a few people from here racing we can maybe play about with tactics if there anyone is challenging for the overall

That tussle with the team that couldn't make their overtake on us stick started earlier than I thought - still 5 miles to go when they first passed us!

I ll join in a few of these when I can. Weather permitting I’m trying to do 100mile rides on Saturdays hopefully preparing for the dragon ride 😳

I'm still not sure what happened at the start of our race. @Joffey gave the countdown and the Go! I start pedalling like mad begin my controlled start, and my avatar doesn't move - 2-3 seconds later, it sluggishly starts to move and by the time it's up to speed I'm having to sprint to catch up with the team. Bizarre.

If you weren't spinning beforehand, many powermeters take a few seconds to wake up, plus the 3 seconds for Zwift to recognise it. That is one reason we always put the Pairing Screen up so we can spin

I've had this issue during the wait for a TTT. The give away is the power number in top left of the screen - if it is zero then that indicates the PM is connected and sending a value of zero. If it is two dashes "--" then it means there is no power device connected, so get into pairing and sort it quickly!

I never noticed what the power display was showing. You can bet I'll be watching it like a hawk next time!

Since I've signed up, I've now discovered I might have to work late on Friday so might miss the first one but will definitely have a go at some of the others... :okay:

Are we still going ahead with a between teams race next Tuesday? And is it on last night's course, or on the Champs-Elysees (don't think that was ever 100% decided).

If it does turn out to be the London course, then do we know where the start point is if you set up a meetup? After all, we don't want to set the handicaps based on the timings coming from the start pens, if a meetup puts you nearer the real start/finish line on the Mall now do we?

If we were a well practiced team what we would do would be waiting in the pairing screen as the DS gives us the countdown.

With 10 Seconds to go, start to spin up the legs, hitting sprint watts (or 5 Min power ) with 3 Seconds to go. ... When the DS shouts "Go!" we all hit the OK button to go back to the game and shoot out of the pen like a cheetah on speed :rofl::rofl:

I mean just what could go wrong??

That is what we do - it is pretty straightforward but best if you practice it first. It really gets you away fast. Our start is 350W until we are up and running and in line.

I'm up for this 👍

I think doing it on last night's course makes sense as we have up to date times for each team to base the staggered start on.

I don't think a slight difference in start point will make too much difference will it? Even if it's different the time gaps are still likely to be the same/similar at the end don't you think?

I'd be happy to set up the meetup. Would everyone be happy with a 6.30pm (UK time) start?
