2 men and their cat were doing it before so if nothing else they could have carried on doing in the same way pending the lambada or whatever it is 😁

Also my understanding is that ZwiftPower itself was originally bodged together by said two blokes (cat involvement unconfirmed) just as a temporary solution to make racing easier all those years ago and was never meant to support thousands of events a day and probably would be better off being completely re-written or properly merged into Zwift itself.

Of course having said that, the rumours are that Zwift's codebase is also the software equivalent of spaghetti junction, with parts of it going back to when it was Jon Mayfield's pet project he wrote for just himself to use on his trainer and that's why putting in any new features or upgrades is such a mammoth task nowadays. How correct that is I don't know, but having seen plenty of projects like that in my past, I wouldn't be too shocked if there was a semblance of truth there.

There is also the point that previously you opted in to ZP, so not all racers had their .FIT files processed, but now ZP is inside Zwift I believe (could be wrong) that all FIT files are now processed even if the rider isn't formally signed up, and it's this that has slowed everything down.

Still, we're not talking millions of records a day so it should be fairly easy to fix if they have the right skills (and that might be another issue, have they got the right skills for ZP given they dispensed with the original code guys).

They will get there I think, but it depends how patient the customer base is going to be. Especially now RGT is trying to be a direct competitor.

If anyone is interested in wasting an hour, here is a link to Rach and my (very) brief brush with TV stardom. This is our episode of Escape to the Country, filmed in 2014 when Rach was still quite well. The properties were not suitable, but we had a lot of fun filming the show :okay:

p.s. before I started cycling too much, so please, no comments on my weight!!

Dude, you're way more genteel than the pictures I've seen on here. From your badass look I assumed you would have had the TV host on the ground whimpering while he begs you to let him lower the price again.

ha ha, I'm a big softy ^_^ The host was a really nice chap and was slightly shafted by the research team. He doesn't see the properties selected for us until 10 mins before he shows us around. He was not happy that the research team missed the brief so badly, especially with property 2. Rach and I just enjoyed the ride and it did help us to show us what we didn't want, so that was useful :okay:

A friend of mine and his wife went on this programme.

His brief was basically I don't want any close neighbours...... so they gave them a mystery property of a flat in a converted mansion, with shared grounds. Absolutely unbelievable!
