I’ve read that there seems to be sync issues on Zwift on Tuesday, to do with the new update. iOS users in a different version, pc users in another...dunno about android. Someone reported that in their race the first and second placed riders where invisible for parts of the sprint.
Ah yeah that might explain these problems - didn't we have the same in a previous update when they changed resistance levels on dirt roads or something and IOS and ATV weren't updated but PC was and those who hadn't yet updated were going twice as fast as those who had? Sounds like same problem again

Zwift riders is rarely an interesting or entertaining FB group-too much wingeing for my liking. I can't link to the thread but this is the first post and its a cracker from then on:

After last week's bitter Confessions On A Dance Floor debacle (at one point I found myself screaming, "You can't possibly make a better version of 'I Feel Love' by Donna Summer so why even bother trying?") I once again returned to the AdZ <1hr problem. I bought some more RAM and rewrote 2,000 lines of code and then, in a moment of inspiration, I set the computers the task of editing down disco masterpiece Saturday Night Fever (it runs at 01:32:28) to an hour's worth of tracks and then ordering those tracks to my physiology and the gradients of AdZ. When I came down this morning all was silent. Two words blinked in green on the lead monitor: "Kompromat" and "iLiKETRAiNS". As I watched the words faded and everything shut down. Some research revealed that Kompromat is a 2020 album by "post-industrial Leeds miserablists" iLiKETRAiNS. According to Pitchfork it is "a semi-spoken, savage takedown of current UK and US society and politics". Either the computers have malfunctioned or they consider their work done. Either way I don't expect disco bangers. Wish me luck.

Thanks for sharing @mjd1988 - a relatively interesting chat and interesting to hear confirmation of the Zwift bike!

I was struggling to concentrate though with such a messy room behind 😱

I've done the first 8 days of the "4 week FTP booster" now, legs are telling me they want a break but I might continue anyway. (zwift is quite addictive, isn't it?!)

Had a bit of a weird fault yesterday - I'd go through the arch signifying the start of a higher watt segment but the trainer didn't up the resistance until I'd gone through the other side (i.e. when the effort should have been over)

Did that a couple of times, then just completely lost connection between the trainer and zwift. Had to unplug the trainer a few times to get things reconnected - not sure if it's a hardware issue with the laptop or kickr core, or a software issue with zwift. Annoying in any event.

There have been murmurings about the latest Zwift update causing an issue like that @straas but not conclusive yet. I think our own @mjd1988 might be affected? I say might because he has been through the mill a bit and had to change ANT+ dongle, laptop, and done a re-install so a few variables!

Yeah I've definitely still got a strange 6-7 second lag. I've still got a few theories but I think @bobinski had also noted a few people having similar issues since the update so hopefully it's a transient thing. It's a real pain as being able to change power dynamically is what zwift racing is all about, both in terms of conserving power and knowing when to really attack.

@straas are you using ant+? Do you plug a dongle directly into laptop or use a usb extender?

Think I'm only using bluetooth - I've got a HP laptop connected to a kickr core wirelessly.

The lag doesn't happen all the time, but obviously can make these 10 second efforts pointless in the training plan....

Looking for a reliable HRM, don't mind Chest Strap but also considering armband ... to connect to Garmin Head units so ant+ only IIRC.

Any recommendations? Garmin and Wahoo are expensive ... plus I've destroyed two Garmin HRM's... through sweat :eek:
