Me Andy and Pete still together with just over a km to go - I must have done a half decent sprint finish (for once) to end up 16th from there- there's no one else around!! It was a a bit of a blur I have no idea what happened except that it hurt!

Well done all, sounds like some great results from the #23s and I know that we got some great placings from the #68 crew as well - unless they were lying on Discord (I have no way of proving that right now!)

My race was over within a minute. I kept up over 4 w/kg out of the gate (having got myself a third row spot in the pen) but by the time the positions appeared on the right hand side, I was already 90th out of 112. This became over 100th before we were even 1km into the race and basically I had to sprint just to make it into a group of 8 riders, of whom @JLaw was one of them. The group rode round together (still at a pace I was having to push to stay with) until just before the hills when it started to split and at that point I said goodbye to everyone else. Except for Jeff, who waited for me at the top of the climb (and every subsequent climb after that) and dragged me round the whole of the second lap - absolutely stellar work from him, can't thank him enough. Ended up finishing 107th, which was last on the road (the other five behind were either DNF or DNS).
Like you, by the time positions appeared, I was near the back. Great effort on your part getting back onto the remains of the group after the climbs -- I think we were both pretty toasted at that point and I'd already let the strongest in the group go. I was trying to give you a bit of a tow that 2nd lap, but I was struggling to find the right power range to keep you on my wheel. No way I could have latched onto that mystery rider that caught us on the 2nd lap, my legs were already shot.

I was a few minutes slower than my PB on that course, but that was set years ago, probably sucking wheels all the way around on both laps ;-)

Massive kudos to you guys riding up a category in these races, it's hard enough racing in my own cat so :notworthy: to you.

You're still really helping the team by completing the race and adding to the points tally, and obviously also being a massive part of the team in the TTTs so I hope you all stick at it

I'm really enjoying it so far. I don't mind that I'm finishing at the back of the pack. I'm hoping that if my watts keep going up and i can lose a few kilos by the end of the league I might be pretty competitive in C when I return!

CC23 taking points in 4 of the primes. Cracking sprint Pete...if I had known you were going for it I’d have rolled through 😅
