Tommy 5th
Me 13th
Paul 16th
Andy 23rd
Pete 24th
Martin was unlucky to get caught in a split at the 2nd sprint as the pace was mental.
We also bagged bonus points - think Pete got 2nd in a sprint, I got 2 1sts and Tommy was close as well to bonus
Excellent result

Chapeau guys in team 23! Outstanding!!!

And team 68 did great, can't wait to see everyone's power numbers.

@BurningLegs 7th with me and @bobinski fighting our way into the top 30

I went for first sprint prime (spectacularly messed it up and came maybe 6 or 7th. Surprised myself on first climb and came 4th when all I was trying to do was get to the front to avoid being dropped. After that though I was dropped and luckily caught a free ride from our group which caught Bob and legs and most of the field from about 14th-35th. Then we started catching front group and legs took off.

Most importantly everyone has points on the board!

Well done all, sounds like some great results from the #23s and I know that we got some great placings from the #68 crew as well - unless they were lying on Discord (I have no way of proving that right now!)

My race was over within a minute. I kept up over 4 w/kg out of the gate (having got myself a third row spot in the pen) but by the time the positions appeared on the right hand side, I was already 90th out of 112. This became over 100th before we were even 1km into the race and basically I had to sprint just to make it into a group of 8 riders, of whom @JLaw was one of them. The group rode round together (still at a pace I was having to push to stay with) until just before the hills when it started to split and at that point I said goodbye to everyone else. Except for Jeff, who waited for me at the top of the climb (and every subsequent climb after that) and dragged me round the whole of the second lap - absolutely stellar work from him, can't thank him enough. Ended up finishing 107th, which was last on the road (the other five behind were either DNF or DNS).

Mixed emotions for me. Nice to creep into top 30 but I got gapped just at the crest of Libby second time with a poor gear change and boom! 2 second gap stretched to 8-10 s as I tried to chase down and that was it. Michael kind of guided me in from then on. Pretty sure we were the only team talking about sweets and food throughout the ride 😁
Well done #68 and as for you 23’s - frigging awesome👏👏👏

Great results all round tonight! But there is only one important result - what's best, asparagus or fish cake... :hungry:

With a new FTP of 283 I can declare fish cake the winner

For more culinary cycling tips and maybe a poll as to what I should try next week pre race stay tuned! :hyper: (That's right @Spartak... A POLL!!)

Well done #23 - don't be too hard on yourself @<Tommy>, 5th is some ride! :notworthy:

Fantastic going #68 - from the 3 at the front doing us all proud to us C'ers at the back getting the extra points I think it was a great all round team effort. :notworthy:

On a personal note it's nice to still be improving and at least mixing it with the odd rider in our league - in the group I was in I was the only one averaging under 3 w/kg so if I understand race craft and all that shizzle I think I did alright and saved me legs a bit at times. :cuppa:

Looking forward to next week if selected

I thought it might be a bit easier this week with new league friends but I've gone from 85th 2 weeks ago to 93rd this week  It's tough in B league! Well done though mate, you stuck at it and got us a point:okay:
