First ride with a bot pacer today. 2.5 -2.8w/k though I couldn’t see what the bot’s weight was. Looking at the pace I think 75 kilo’s. It is on all day so easy to just drop in and join the fluctuating group that is riding with it. Anyway, 40km in an hour. I only wish I had done a warm up before joining. There was a faster bot on the course too. I couldn’t see a 3rd slower one riding at a nice recovery pace which would have been ideal and perfect for this occasions when I just want to turn the pedals at a steady pace while watching TDF or a film and not worry about joining a group ride.

Yer I had full intention of riding this morning but the weather cleared up round here so went outside. Thought I’d better had while I still can.
Where’s your commitment?? 😭😂 Your BRT buddies did well again today taking 2nd and 3rd ahead of me🤨

Beyond pride and marking progress, is there any purpose to the ranking points yet? Do they have any invitational events for the top ranked in any cats (aside from a+)?
No end purpose I guess other than something else to aim to improve on. To improve your score you need to be racing and beating riders ranked higher than you do in a way it encourages you to find those events with the better riders signed up. Zwiftpower has a display for race ‘quality’ which shows a rating based on average of the best sign ups. Alternatively you could look for lower ranked opposition if your looking for a pick me up but that could back fire easily too 😂

I just had to bail out of a race in quite disappointing fashion. I’d hung on to the front group of a mass start race and I was staring an A cat podium in the face with about 5 miles to go. But got horrendous stitch. I tried to carry on but the pain was too bad to peddle. Anyone suffer from that? I’ve had it a few times lately and I’m not sure what’s causing it.

As I was keeled over, still trying to peddle, I saw a comment from a B cat rider, berating me for being A cat and not helping him take turns to get back onto the group that had just dropped us 😄. I just had to have a little laugh to myself at the situation.

You should tell him that this a race not a social chitchat ride ^_^

Sounds pretty damn poor to me
I wonder how the excuse scorer will see it ! Would hate to see favouritism

Very interesting :okay:

Zwift/Sterzo aren't using correct BLE protocols. Just awaiting a small manufacturer to knock up circuit board with a joystick

I cant imagine a joystick is the best thing to use while riding a bike. Maybe just an alternate steering mechanism or buttons?
