Stupid question then, but how do I connect the Bolt? I tried before via ANT+ but I use BLT now .... do I connect to Zwift as normal and then open the bolt and connect that to the NEO? I need to have another play!
I think I just connected the Bolt directly to the Neo (using the Elemnt phone app). Then I used the app to set up a page on the Bolt screen with just the current power and average power. Then press start on the Bolt when the race/TT starts

I'm not sure I'll be doing the last one as it's a Bank Holiday. But there is a race tonight at 19:30 around London that I've provisionally entered as a C so I'll see how that goes. Whether or not I am a d or a C I'll just try and enter the C races to try and improve my fitness. Last night I averaged 2.3wkg as the pace was low until the finale. I'm not going to get better doing that every week.

All I know is that it will be a very, very, very long time until I am near the podium again.
Race timings not always ideal, but if you get the chance try to do a Hare and Hounds in C cat. These should be a good test as the main blob won't be actively trying to drop you so whilst the starts are fast, they're not as manic as a full race. The pace will be C once the blob gets going but should give a good workout. I join the B's every now and then when the times match my riding and get a cracking workout - my record is hanging on for 12.5 minutes  Often others are dropped too so there is usually someone to ride with, then you'll hopefully start to sweep up D's as the race goes on :okay:

Ok, cool, I'll give it a go - cheers.

You might surprise yourself if you can stick with the crazy starts. Carl's suggestion about hound and hare races is a good one

You should be able to. What stopped it working last time you tried?
Just didn't seem to recognise the Bolt, but this was yonks ago (maybe a year or more) and not tried since so can't recall for sure. I'm sure it took the control away from Zwift or something thinking about it and I had to reboot everything so maybe I connected incorrectly. I'll give it a go again when I ride next - knowing it works makes it easier to play as I didn't know last time and just assumed it didn't

Cheers. :okay:

Got an IRW Hill Climb coming up soon. It is short, 700m - averages 10%, and should be good for vomit inducing effort xx(

Have started doing a few max efforts up the climb in preparation. Anyone have experience of organised Hill Climb competitions?

Sounds horrendous - good luck!

Any extreme weight reducing mods like sawing bits off your bike being done?!

Its probably me that needs the bits sawing off

Bottle cages, saddlebag will come off. Lightest kit and nothing in pockets.

The climb is Burton Dasset where the Tour of Britain and the Women's Tour have finished.

OK, so Tiesj benoot has the KOM at a minute dead - but that was at the end of a 121 mile race so he must have been KNACKERED when he did it. Unlike you who'll be fresh as a daisy so I wonder how much time you can knock off of that

Will be interesting to see how you get on, especially compared to my efforts in a C race on a London course last week. Although it's a flat course overall, there are some undulations in the lead-in that can cause problems. You're a better climber than me, so you should be able to hold on to the group at the first hillock (I couldn't!) but at the same time, ZP says there are already two B's in the C pack, so they will clearly be driving the pace which may be the make or break of the ride.

There are some interesting vids on YouTube regarding these events ..... drilling holes in the bike, string as spokes (I kid you not) .... crazy, just to shave off the odd ounce. The guys and gals who win push crazy power too for the duration
