Timings worked out brilliantly. If C had stayed together a bit longer would have been even tighter (and A might have caught B).

As soon as we caught c I think I made one attempt to bridge to Bob to split the group but then it was clear that they weren't being shaken off so I shamelessly preserved energy for the sprint.

Really fun. Some stellar performances, from the C's (including a d @Joffey )

A were never gonna catch B. We were too strong even with some of the B’s easing to have a look at the sights on the course 😀Still at least that gave the A’s some false hope and made them work a bit To get close and the B’s pulled it together when it mattered most.

really enjoyed that ( thanks for sorting ) was hoping someone would try going for it about a mile out and maybe i could have kept up a bit or contributed , as it was it came down to a sprint - i was doomed well done all

really enjoyed that ( thanks for sorting ) was hoping someone would try going for it about a mile out and maybe i could have kept up a bit or contributed , as it was it came down to a sprint - i was doomed well done all

Should have messaged me quietly on companion app, I’d have gone for that

I did have a pop on the upward slope of the underpass but ended up on my own and had no chance of staying away alone. Was hoping to end up with 2/3 of us away!

Hard to say isn’t it. I think I’d of been done for if people kept attacking. It felt like everyone else looked solid though.

Yeah, thanks for that .... trying to keep up put me completely in the red and I popped a minute later I was hoping I could hang on to the sprint but not quite. Maybe next time

I quite liked the slope up towards the sprint - was pulling up it on each lap, but it’s too far out for a winning move unless there’s a few together I think.

Tricky old circuit for climbers that one, but makes for exciting racing. I would be more than happy to use it again for the next race? Maybe more laps though - didn’t really feel long enough to properly empty the tank! I think it’s telling that nobody got dropped from A (or I think B?)

I was cooked towards the end of lap 4...and at that point I could see a few of you looked strong and were still putting in decent efforts so if anything I backed off a bit and surfed the wheels. At the turn at l’Arc.dT I could see the gap was stubbornly remaining at the 20 seconds so I guessed the Bs were putting in big efforts to stay out and we had eased off slightly. Come the tunnel the gap was Only down to 16 seconds— and at that point our game was up and it was just pride to play for. I don’t think we could have got the timing s much better...luck or skill?

Perhaps the C group should have been given an extra 30 seconds? Anyway that gives us some good data for the next one.

Btw. were was the finish banner? Was it far off the true finish line?
