For those racing tonight the points are I think we are still only getting points for the KoMs and not the sprints. If I'm reading it correctly it's
- Aquatic KoM
- Petit KoM
- Finish sprint/final banner

In C cat the current leader can't make it tonight. The chap who pipped me on the aqueduct KoM last week is also absent. Wish I'm known that before I destroyed myself on Mont Ventoux yesterday

@Ketty Tim - we going for glory tonight? Or ... more realistically, hang on for the first 12km of flat, try to get over the KoMs as fast as possible and hope I get some points and manage to hang on to the main group.

Race tonight IRL. am I right in thinking just prime points on the 2 KOM, nothing for the Pavé sprint?
Yes, that's my reading too :okay: I think it's double points up the Petit KoM and normal (10-1) for the Aqueduct KoM)

Edit - Richie just confirmed the scoring tonight

Primes (first across the line)
10,8,6,5,4,3,2,1
Aqueduc KOM reverse

20,16,12,10,8,6,5,4,3,2
Double points Petit KOM

20,16,12,10,8,6,5,4,3,2
Double points Finish

1 point for all finishers

I can do Tuesday, but it means that I'll have to opt out of the IRL league tonight to give my legs a rest after yesterday's efforts.

It's a shame you are up in C now - @Ketty has just alerted me to a certain Jason Bartram registering for tonight's IRL D race! I was going to give it a miss and ride outside tonight but now I'm gonna do a 25 mile coffee ride as my warm up and try and get back for 7pm for the Zwift race.

I don't think I'll compete with him but I don't want him thinking I'm running scared! Lol

Did not know that Casse pattes meant "leg breaking." That doesn't bode well...It doesn't look that bad though?
I think the climb tonight will feel a bit like the Volcano climb - Volcano is 3.75km @ 3% with 120m elevation and tonight we have 2.7km @ 4% with 105m elevation.

Probably an 8-9 minutes of climbing? Plenty of time to make a break from the pack to victory

Ah. Bugger. Might have to go for points on the first one then depending on how many riders there are

I'm OK with Tuesday, flattered you've got me in A, happy to go in B if needed .

Andy your w/kg combined with your 20 min power, I think it was a no brainer that you start in the A group. It’s well deserved mate👍👍

There’s lots of guys that could be in the group above the one they ended up in to be fair. It sort of caught us by surprise!

It doesn’t look too bad, but its a tough course.

It’s tough because the start is very flat and fast for just over 8 miles, and you’ll be going full gas, until you hit the Aqueduct KOM. Nothing too bad there, but there are three 5% sections that will split the group.

After the aqueduct there’s another fast flat mile before you get to the Petit KoM. Nothing too steep there until you reach the top. There are some 5-6% sections on the climb and the main issue here is keeping the pace high and not losing wheels when you’ve been flat out for just under 11 miles.

As you reach the top, you can see a village. As you reach the village, the road bends left and the sting in the tail is that you hit an 8-10% section just as you reach the top. Its not that long, but long enough to be gapped if you’re not concentrating and you don’t keep the power on.

You need to stay with the group because if you don’t there’s a fast descent and you’ll struggle to get back on. Once the descent is done, there‘s a fairly straight mile run-in to the line.

It’s tough, but a good course. I thought of joining tonight, but it’s just too late for me as I’m doing a quiz with friends tonight. Good luck to everyone racing. You’ll enjoy it!

Thanks for update @Del C - not raced that course yet so wasn't sure of exact details of the KoM. My plan, not that plans often work well () will be to try and stay with the lead riders for first 2.0-2.2km of KoM then try to attack that last 0.5km and see if I can get over the lump first and have a chance of getting a good run in. Seems I'll be attacking at the hardest section
