Life gets in the way of proper training - I ride to keep some fitness and for my mental health, can't go for anything more. Can't see me getting into B proper any time soon. Some nice looking workouts on SF though so who knows - they may help a bit :okay:

I get all of that. You’ll be a B soon enough with the right training. Whether you can mix that up with restricting racing for a while, or even want to , is another thing. You can fit training in. Or racing but both can leave you overly fatigued still, good to have choices.

Just rode in France for the first time. Really quite impressed. Good job zwift.
Just rode in France too, Casse-Pattes, and was quite impressive. Good course, one decent climb and the rest pan flat. Good scenery. Was meant to be a zone 2 ride but ended up zone 3/4

Draycott Steep has to be one of the toughest climbs I've done in a long time.
Managed to get all the way up it this week. Previously have had to get off and push. It’s obscenely steep..

Worth noting that Max Stedman who also does well on these steep climbs near bristol is a pro for DHB/Canyon/Bloor and none of his times seem To come from a race day, unlike the times up Cheddar Gorge

I’m planning to ride at 7PM this evening. A little nervous to be honest but I’m going to try and stick to about 4w/kg (260W) for as long as possible.

The problem with that is I know it won’t happen - I’m competitive and guaranteed to end up either chasing specific riders or positions e.g “could get into top 100 here”. That usually either ends up with a great result or an explosion!

Going to be a lot of hurt for everyone, that’s for sure!

Eating brekkie and watching GP lama having a go at Ventoux. Before I head off to work. An hour in and he is not yet at chalet Reynard- it’s going to be bloody tough!
Work? It's Saturday man ... you in the office, and if so do you cycle in? I used to love riding around central London on weekends - so much more relaxed than the weekday commute dash :okay:

no- the arrival of his pain face was amusing 😁
I hope to have a go later today but more likely tomorrow.
If it rides similar to FilGaz then I need to set aside 2 hours of pain (I'm sure when I did it on Bkool, even with the advantage of the Pro trainer, it took me closer to 2.5 hours :surrender:). It starts OK but definitely ramps up on the second half - the last km is tough.

Any idea if / when the France/Paris routes will be rideable as a guest world? I haven’t done any yet But don’t really want to enter one of the etape events as the times don’t suit.

Same here, times haven't suited yet which is a shame. Graphics look nice though so am very keen to try and give them a go at some stage.

I’ve not seen anything announced as yet but I imagine it will be after this weekend as virtual TDF concludes. I still haven’t done RDV from last week and it’s now not an option. As I understand it there are 6 TDF routes of which 4 are new in France (the first two being Watopia). RDV, Casse-Pattes, Ven-top & Paris. Unless anyone understands it differently?

Zwifthub is good for route details. Looks like 9 routes all with XP bonus points. Ventop only 420 points- meh!
