Am I the only CChatter not to get an invite šŸ˜” pfttt!?!?

Also no invite. Mind you I think it sounds really pointless but happy to be proven wrong if it catches on.

Really sorry - something has cropped up at home that means I won't be able to make the TTT tonight. Sorry for the late notice.

I quite like the sound of the boost feature to be honest. Iā€™d prefer no features at all. But it sounds better than the power ups I think. Having said that I donā€™t think itā€™s replacing power ups so it does feel a bit like overload.

I think the idea of it is that you choose when you build up your boost. So for example if you are going at 300w. You press a button, and then some of that 300w is used to build up your boost, and so you will only be putting out say 270w at that point and storing 30w. Then you get to use the power youā€™ve accumulated later in a boost. To me at least that takes some strategy rather than the lucky dip system they have at the moment.

But the races a enjoy the most are the ones when no one has power ups. Itā€™s not really fair if your all trying your guts out to stay with the pack going up a short climb and some of the guys are basically getting a free pass to the top. It is a bit strange really isnā€™t it?

Yer agree. Donā€™t really like them. Unless they bring one out that reduces your weight by 20kg for half hour. Not interested.
Or should I just stop being a pig and drink less beer. šŸ¤Ø

Yeah the dbr and feltet series didn't have any power ups and definetly didn't miss them. I can see what you mean by the boost things and can see how it could lead to more team strategies and breakaways if organised... but doubt it will.

@mjd1988 how you finding B cat.

I finished stage 6 of my 3R league last night with a win, 3 times up box hill, sitting at 3.2wkg Av so ready for the move after stage 7. 3rd in GC.šŸ˜

Oh and @BurningLegs you are smashing it. I swear I was racing with you 6months ago šŸ’ŖāœŒšŸ¼

Well done!

I'm enjoying it. Having team members at the pointy end definitely keeps it interesting for me, and I've found that if I do my homework and surge at the right places, particularly at the start I can stay in a group that are putting down a lot more power than me. I think you are more than capable of that as well as you have a great engine.

I haven't got to the point of missing getting on the C podium...yet. I think it's helping that I'm feeling improvements from pushing myself more.

I am worried that I'm gonna recalibrate my kickr snap some day and find the gains are all in my head though! My turbo tire is at the end of its life and I read some forum post by someone whose FTP went down by 160 watts when they made some adjustments to their bike and put it back on the turbo! I have started recalibrating it weekly just in case but who knows.
