I quite like the Innsbruckring circuit just to ride around at my own pace, but racing it - ugh. And four laps of it - quadruple ugh.

Basically I spend quarter of a lap trying to get into a group, then half a lap riding with said group, then get dropped on the climb, then spend the downhill and sprint area either chasing the group I lost or waiting for the next group to catch me (whoever is closer), then start all over again.

The worst thing is when they actually drop you BEFORE the climb - there's a little rise as you're coming over the railway bridge where sometimes people attack, leaving you with the choice of leaving them and riding to the climb without a draft, or riding hard to catch them knowing that even if you do, it'll leave you knackered before the climb where you'd have lost them anyway.

@Joffey, I think we do much the same as we did last week. Hammer it from the start to try to get in JB's group and create a gap to whoever is in fourth on ZwiftPower. He'll easily be able to leave us behind either on the main climb or the railway bridge, but we focus on guaranteeing us 2nd and 3rd places. He might take it easy after the sprint point and allow us to catch up briefly, but even if not we should be able to reel in any other rivals if we use our draft effectively.

Aye, forget about JB after the first climb. We'll just try and hoover up 2nd & 3rd again :okay:

Great turnout and good to see @peterob returning. @<Tommy> , you in?

I should be there mate. I remember the course. Guaranteed I get dumped on the hill, just a question of when it happens 😄

I don’t think I’ll go on discord unless I can get it working in conjunction with my musics. But I’ll look out for you guys in the race. Good luck chaps!

I play music on my laptop and then hdmi to the TV so can just mute it whenever I want with the remote. Worked well during the TTT

If you decide t race for Cyclechat tonight you can change your team just for the DBR league by going to your Zwiftpower profile, then Signups, click on the DBR event for tonight, then go to Settings and change team for this league from Default to Cyclechat............ assuming you're still in Cyclechat as well as ZSunR. Anyhow, that's what I do and we could with some extra points as B is in 3rd place!

I use appletv. For the handicap I tried to pair an iPad with a wireless speaker but I think the Bluetooth stuff was all getting confused. So I gave up for the sake of being able to use discord.

I left Cyclechat before I realised you could be in more than one team at once to be honest. I’m probably better just sticking with one for now though. I can see myself forgetting or not having time to switch from one to the other when I need to. If I can help in the race I’m obviously happy to though 👍👍. Hopefully I can get a sneaky afternoon nap in before the race because I’m bloody knackered already 😄

@steverob Wanna use Discord tonight? Might be easier for me to tell you the names of the people rather than try and type them lol

If you use the League option I described you don't have to change your Default team. The option is there to allow you to ride for another team in a specific League. All the rest of your rides will continue to be for your Default team.

So, if you look at my profile it says I ride for WTRL. I've been riding for them in the TTT and ITT. I've set the DBR league to Cyclechat, although for some reason I had to set it again today.

My main aim for this evening is to move to the front of the group when the cobbled start and then cling onto the group over the legsnapper. Rinse and repeat.

I'm guessing the only sprint points will be the banner before the start finish line

Same here ... don't be at the front as others will shoot past you. Ideally you want to be top 10 coming over the little bridge after the cobbles (where the road dips) and accelerating so you get a bit of a sling shot into the climb. Hopefully the slight speed advantage there should see you going over the top with the group.

I'll be trying your super tuck tip tonight on the descent for sure; save my legs and get extra speed. What's not to like
