I genuinely thought the d's were home and dry until maybe 500m from home. Bloody made us work for that. So much more satisfying than an individual race.

Great team effort C team! I think we were lucky the 6 of us were so closely matched. Did any other groups catch anyone?

@Del C @bridgy thanks for organising.
That final few hundred metres were hell .... i gave everything to go through D, but had nothing left to get to the line. I was so glad when I saw there were still 3 green shirts with me to go over the finish

Great organising Paul and Del. I'd say the handicap timings were about spot on :okay:

You want to see how close the finish was?

Obviously this lacks mine and Joffey's commentary over Discord, yelling time gaps and encouragement to our colleagues, but you get the idea.

That was literally metres between C and D finishing:biggrin:

I think we did bloody well considering we were only a team of five. Then we were down to four at the first climb due to Joffey's mechanical and down to the minimum of three at the second climb because my lardy arse ran out of steam! The C's still had four men going in to that final sprint, so the numbers game played its part.

Pick a flatter course next time and we might just be able to hold on...

You did amazing. It took us an age to catch @Joffey on his own so fair play to him as well

You are probably right, the hills really dent the heavy riders pace. A flatter course would help alot. I think the handicap is pretty much spot on and courses will dictate the positions

Well done all it was very well organised and raced , look forward to the next one.

I now have a swimming pool in the garage under the trainer😂😂

Thanks guys.

Glad you all enjoyed it

TTTs are really good fun and using the handicaps gives it a Hare and Hounds touch as well.

Looks like the handicaps were nearly spot on. May take a look to see how much we'd need to change the A and B handicaps to get all 4 of us approaching the finishing line together!

Where did B come? It felt like you were baring down on us, but I stopped looking behind once we hit the straight and had to chase D so not sure how close you finished. Must have been less than 20 seconds?

Never saw A so no idea how much time they made up

Great work in organising that @Del C as other have said the format of TTT with handicaps was excellent. A bit like that hammer series the world tour did a couple of years ago.

Not sure but I think about 20 seconds back.

I bowed out on the 2nd KoM climb and rolled home by myself.

Well ridden C team you must put in a big effort for the final 5 miles and congratulations to our D team for putting in a good ride and making an exciting finish.
I dropped back on one small climb for some reason and had to put an effort in to catch Up again with @Ketty and @Aleman that slowed them down and that would have made the difference For us getting over the line first.

Would be interesting to see that in Strava flybys to see how the splits were changing. I thought we weren’t going to make the catch but then with 7k to Go I thought we were making big gains as the fatigue kicked in. But in the end I think we got hit with the fatigue badly ourselves and any real order to the rotations was lost. Strange how it shows my segment time 10+ seconds quicker. Must have been my false start
