I have a new saddle too for the NEO bike. I really like the short snub nosed saddle on the Scott and thought a similar one would help with fit but didn’t want to pay £100 - Wish and Amazon has these Easton copies so...

Hmmmm, Anyone know how to remove a carbon D-Fuse seat post from an Ali Giant Defy Frame ... Bloody thing is welded in there tight, and I need to reduce seat height by 20mm to use the Brooks, and break it in while on Zwift :scratch:

Ideally I don't want to break the seat post or the frame

Finally got around to starting work on converting our '88 vintage Dawes Super Galaxy Twin to flat bars ... Decided that in order to maintain the "traditional" look I will fit that most quintessential of British Products The Brooks B17s Imperial saddle(s). Is there anything else in the cycling world that has remained unchanged in 138 years of production?? History, Tradition, just quintessential "Britishness"

So placed the order with Brooks of England - B1886 web site, and the saddles will be in my hands tomorrow ... Having started their trip in Verona, then Venice, Leipzig, East Mids, and finally Manchester! ... That's a better European tour than I can do at the moment :cursing::cursing:

So, Brooks of England ... Made by Vittoria of Italy :eek::cursing::cursing:
@keithaitch has one also. He put his newer tandem on the turbo for some extra power. Just something to consider. How about some pictures when it’s done?

Seen that one ... some good ideas, I've tried the hot water trick with nothing freeing up ... As it's a "Shaped" Seat post the old "wiggle it" and pull trick can't be used :cursing::cursing:
How about coke method. Flip bike upside down, remove bb and pour coke in a seat tube. Probably not effective way but worthy to try if you don't wanna break anything.

edit. buy few bottles of beer for yourself as well. This isn't an easy task.

I have a solution that works for me but it’s not for the faint hearted... I have to do this every time I break my colnago down to put it in the bike box. Basically I have to give the saddle a whack upwards with the palm of my hand, just behind the seat post. It takes a couple of hits sometimes. The saddle rails that I’m whacking are carbon. As is the saddle and the seat post. So it is a little unnerving the first time you do it to stay the least. But it’s a common issue with the frame apparently.
